That's not a contradiction dumb ass, he can't fight DeGale now because Ward is now a LHW. But there were times where Ward could have fought him when he was campaigning at SMW. Seriously you are taking things out of context, just stop it. He avoided DeGale for whatever reason, just like he avoided the Dirrell brothers because he is friends with them.

I never stated that Ward feared DeGale, I'm just saying he's been avoiding him. Why? I don't know. I bring up the DeGale stuff because DeGale has shown willingness to fight Ward, and Ward has not offered any responses. If you've been following the sport Ward hasn't been exactly open to the public about what his intentions are.

Even during his lawsuit with Goosen according to Ward's own words he could have gotten fights, but he said no one offered him any fights, I don't know if I believe that. I've heard rumors that DeGale has been trying to get a fight with Ward after the Chad Dawson fight. Now we have this article about Ward complaining about moving to LHW. If he's complaining about moving to LHW certainly there are opponents in the SMW division that are more than a challenge for him such as DeGale, the Dirrell brothers, and Badou Jack.

In terms of skill and talent DeGale is obviously above Rodriguez. What has Rodriguez done since losing to Ward? Nothing. DeGale on the other hand is recognized as the best SMW right now.

Do I need to give a lesson in semantics as well ? If u say someone is avoiding someone else in this sport , it's universally accepted as a duck out of fear . Example : GGG is the most avoided guy in the sport . I dont agree , but this is what they say , and we know why .If u say that , for whatever reason , Ward doesn't desire a fight with DeGale , now that's a totally different narrative . Man, how many times do these clowns have to repeat this crap? HBO already offered the fight to both Ward and Golovkin. Ward turned it down. Ward's known offer was supposed to be set late next year. Meaning, Ward wants ample preparations and substantial amounts of tuneups first before fighting Golovkin. Who wants to wait for this Ward guy who can't seem to make up his mind? He's a huge joke.

Golovkin replied with a 164 catchweight demand, and Kovalev said ok.

I was gonna let this sh.t ride , but since u named yourself BoxingWizard , I decided , I just can't . In Nov 2014 an somewhat unknown and up and comer named James Degale sent Andre Ward a contract desiring a fight , Ward turned the offer down probably because he didnt even know who the fu.k this guy was . At the time DeGale had ONLY 1 notable name on his résum?which was Grooves , of whom he lost to . Only after beating Dirrell THIS YEAR has DeGale's name become somewhat of a staple with those who follow the sport . Up until this point Dirrell is the ONLY recognizable win on his résum?.

To suggest that Ward ducked DeGale when no one barely knew who this guy is , is not only asinine , but is extremely reckless . I sent Ward a contract to fight me 6 months ago and got no response , does that mean he fears me too ?
I find it a disservice to even have to address such ******ity . If I wanted to , I could easily say that DeGale is ducking a Grooves rematch as Grooves has requested one but DeGale now thinks he's hot sh.t and won't answer the call .

Common sense says don't take my posts out of context and act like a damn fanboy, and I'm a fan of Ward, and I'm not in anyway trying to smear him. The fact is he hasn't fought any of these any fights, his reason to why? I don't know, but Ward hasn't made any announcement to why he hasn't fought these guy's, some explanation from Ward would get rid of these speculations.

Virgil Hunter said an interview a couple years ago about Ward moving up to LHW, Virgil's response is that there are still opponents for Ward in the SMW division and mentioned DeGale as one of the better contenders. I'm pretty sure Hunter has talked to Ward plenty of times about fighting DeGale. By 2014 everyone in the boxing world knew who DeGale was and was already a top 10 SMW. Ward according to DeGale's manager said he pulled out of the agreement, that sounds like avoiding to me. Certainly if Ward wanted to could have fought DeGale after the Paul Smith fight instead of trying to fight C and D level LHWs on short notice.

The fact that you think of DeGale as an unknown just proves you don't know what you are talking about. DeGale has been talked about as a rising star in the SMW division the last 3-4 years. Please do yourself a favor and shut the **** up.
