Mayweather highest weight recorded is one fifty one, canelo highest weight is one75. That's why

That's five pounds below the middleweight limit. So far, the commission has not publicly stated that it will not allow Canelo to impose that weight limit (155) on the middleweight title fight. If the commission would declare that the limit for a middleweight title fight is 160, and that what Canelo said is meaningless, then it would not be allowing Canelo his fantasy. As the commission hasn't addressed Canelo's declaration concerning the weight for a middleweight fight against GGG, it is as if it has allowed Canelo to become the sanctioning body supplanting the commission itself.
The commision has no say if a CW is agreed upon by both parties, but such an agreement is not possible as Ggg has said he will not fight at a CW and cotto/canelo has said they will not fight him at 160.

This means that negotiations will soon be over and the purse bid process will start. At that point Cotto/canelo will be forced to fight at 160 or be stripped.

Thats possible sure. Maybe Golovkin is just saying that he will not go down just to gain some leverage in negotiations. Sure.

I think its just a high risk low reward. GGG is not a mainstream draw yet and Canelo and Golden Boy figure they can fight anyone and do the same numbers and make the same money, if not more, fighting other guys. Unfortunately GGG nor the WBC can force this fight.
They can set ultimatums though, like fight GGG or get stripped.

Have GGG go too 155 and fight Canelo under one condition

Sign contract that reads, "We fight at 155 and if Canelo wins then we get a rematch at 160" end of story. That way GGG and Canelo will BOTH be at a disadvantage depending if there is an IMMEDIATE rematch.

So what, Canelo or Cotto's popularity has nothing to do with being a title holder. Like I said in my earlier post GGG doesn't just want the belts, he wants the payday that comes along with them. If it means beating Canelo or Cotto and giving into their demands he will do that vs having either one of them stripped and he fights a nobody for an interim title.
Even if it means he lets Canelo fight a tune up at full 160 and fight him later on.

Always liked Canelo as a fighter, but now he is joining the rest of the prima donnas. If you are not ready for 160, you don't have the right to fight for the Middleweight title. Same goes for Cotto and everyone else.

That's my bet. In any case, they would say they're not gonna budge - either because they believe it or to gain leverage.

                    Ducking , you are already a 160 fighter . Actually, you weigh over 170s . 155 pounds doesn't exist in boxing , 155 is middle weight .

Hit and not be hit .

Then give up the belt you ginger twit.

Have you no honor, fighting for THE Middleweight Championship but refusing to fight at the weight limit. And this isn't quite the same as the Floyd Mayweather situation. In that scenario, YOU were personally forced to come in at 152. Against GGG, you're not forced to do anything but let him come in at 160. You can still come in at 155 if that's your prime weight, so long as he gets to come in at the 160 weight limit.

How nobody is calling him out on this, I don't know. But it doesn't matter, as long as he drops the belt immediately after the Cotto fight and lets GGG become the full WBC Champ. Then Golovkin can move on to the WBO belt immediately.
