There are top 20 LHWs that could be great tuneups. They need to quit bull****ting.

It's much worse than fighting Paul Smith coming off two losses, because at least Smith is an experienced boxer, while age 23 Murdock has never fought outside Australia.
Murdock hasn't even fought in bigger cities in Australia. He's been fighting in small venues in thinly-populated Western Australia where he grew up.
A KO win makes ward look better.

That's why i find it laughable that he's in some p4p lists near the top. You can't go on former glories or a guys talent alone when he hasn't done a thing in years, especially when there's no way of knowing if he's still the fighter he was. I'm not saying he isn't or is, he could very well go and beat the top guys and earn his place. But as it stands, there's no way of knowing how good a 2015 Andre Ward is yet until he fights someone good. I'm not saying he has to go in with a Kovalev right now, but what is fighting Murdock going to prove or do for him?

Weight classes matter, we have them for a reason. Do you think it was beneficial for Rod Salka to move UP in weight and fight Danny Garcia, who not only was naturally bigger than him but they fought above Garcia's own weight class where Garcia was even bigger and heavier?
Same type of logic applies here. If Rohan campaigns at 168 and Ward is looking to campaign at 175, who do you think is the bigger fighter and who do you think that would give an advantage too? Obviously the guy who's moving to 175.
Now before you get all crazy on me, of course it's up to the fighter to agree to those terms and ultimately it's on Paul Smith, it's on Salka, it's on Rohan for accepting these terms. But for most of these guys, they'll NEVER get an opportunity like this again and they know it, and that's exactly why they give in to every demand.

HBO approved Murdock and then gave him a 3 fight deal after the fight was made. If they didn't want Murdock, they wouldn't have approved it.

He's been very active with his big fight in the last two years, against the VERY dangerous Paul Smith.

Something tells me that had this been certain other fighters you wouldnt be so forgiving and trying to shift blame to the network.
