Comments Thread For: Loeffler: GGG is Biggest Fight For Cotto, Canelo in 2016

New York, NY - Depending on the final buyrate figures for Gennady Golovkin’s first venture into the pay-per-view market, his likely million dollar live gate at a sold out Madison Square Garden proves he is an attraction.

But is he attractive enough for Miguel Cotto or Saul "Canelo" Alvarez?

Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) is the mandatory challenger to the WBC championship, which is currently held by Cotto. The Puerto Rican star defends the title on November 21 against Canelo at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

That's his likely next ppv fight until floyd relinquish those belts canelo and cotto have bigger options can drop back down to 154 for rematch with floyd or drop mw belt and rematch eachother at the new 155lb division

... In fact, Floyd may fight Cotto for the 160 lineal strap even at 147 -- in case he chooses so...

... But if Canelo wins it's quite different...

          The event did roughly 150K:

I think GGG will have to take a low percentage to get the winner of the Cotto-Canelo bout. Both these guys have sold out venues so that's nothing new.

Someone remind Loeffler that either of them rematching Floyd would be bigger than GGG.
