Comments Thread For: Eubank Jr. Gunning For Golovkin Showdown

Chris Eubank Jr. believes he possesses the tools to beat Gennady Golovkin as he prepares to make his Sky Sports debut against Tony Jeter on Saturday night at the Sheffield Arena.

Eubank Jr. defends his WBA Interim Middleweight crown against the tough American and a win will set up a crunch clash against Irishman Spike O’Sullivan in London on December 12 as he looks to land a World title fight in 2016. [Click Here To Read More]

Lets make this fight happen after he fights Spike O'Sullivan so maybe mid 2016, I see GGG going through Canelo/Cotto then he'd go through Eubank and If he has one more fight in 2016 late 2016 against the winner of Lee/Saunders then by 2017 he can move to 168.

Hey, if he's genuinely willing to get in there with the champ - the scary destroyer - then we gotta give him props for that alone. I'm no fan, but confidence like this is a good thing. Plus he's no megastar yet, so that'll hopefully reign in any Quillin-like attitudes about making tens of millions.

if he looks good against o'sullivan then why not? i guess he's back of the queue behind the two possible unification fights and the ibf mandatory (i suspect they'll order it soon) for golovkin, so he could pick up a couple of other decent wins in the meantime too. hopefully he could fight for the wba regular without getting tied down to pbc

I would love GGG to whoop him just so I can see the look on his father's face.

if he beats jeter and o'sullivan, then that will be three wins on the trot over wba ranked opponents, which puts him in line for a shot at one of their titles by my reckoning. and as i said it's unlikely that golovkin will be able to make time for him within the next 8 months anyway, so he can potentially pick up another win or two in that time too. i think the winner of the o'sullivan fight becomes the mandatory challenger for the regular wba title, and the saunders rematch will probably happen regardless of whether saunders beats lee, so he has plenty of opportunities to prove himself worthy of ggg in the near future
