But Andre Ward was a prima donna diva to demand the fight be at 168.
He did not demand it..Dawson requested it live on HBO

Lots of b1tch moves you can hate Ward on. Not to mention bragging about how he will be king in the heavyweight division by year so and so... This is also a guy who ducked lucrative fights in the past, as boring as he is.

Somehow one b1tch move by the Kazakh gets disproportionately highlighted to the max by 12 shallow people.

See either you have a selective memory or flat out lying!!! Which one is it?

Dawson after his fight live on air said he wanted to fight Ward and would come down to 168 to fight Ward. So Ward accepted his offer to fight at 168. END OF STORY

So now are you blaming Ward for accepting Dawson's offer to fight at 168? I can admit that later on while training I believe Dawson did ask for the fight to be at a higher weight and Ward said no. IMO Ward had the right to do since he never called Dawson out and Dawson said he would fight him at 168. That was Dawson's fault and his alone!

Fanboys are gonna side with there guy however dumb **** gets. Thats how fanboys work.

Boxing fans who happen to like Ward or GGG are more reasonable guys. Having said that I always feel its more unfair to ask a guy to move down in weight than up in weight. I don't think Dawson made the best decision in fighting Ward at Ward's weight. That said Dawson, like a dum dum, agreed to it so at that point its on the fighter. I think Ward would be equally dumb to move down a weight division to fight GGG, but I couldn't blame GGG for trying to get him down to 160 & If Ward accepted than its on him.

Ultimately I suspect these guys will likely fight down the road & it'll probably be at 164-168. Assuming Ward doesn't go up to 175 & fight Kov anyways. The timing is horrible right now for them regardless. GGG gots ***ier PPV options & Ward needs to do....something...something more impressive than a W over Paul Smith after his recent period of stagnation. This fight will be even bigger a year from now if GGG can get 2 or 3 PPV W's over Lemuiex, Canelo &/or Cotto (I suspect GGG fights the winner & loser of Canelo vs Cotto if at all possible) & Ward can unify some of the 168 titles & be more active.

Gennady is the BEST fighter in the world, he is a PPV MEGASTAR. Ward is a nobody, nobody knows him and his ratings are garbage. He HAS TO agree to ALL of Gennadys demands, thats what happens when you are the B-SIDE.

                No. He didn't request it.

Max Kellerman requested it, and Dawson agreed.

Later, poor Chad found he couldn't easily make 168, but Ward was uncompromising and refused to fight at a catch weight.

lmao at the blatant lie of ward "demanding" dawson to fight at 168. that big doof dawson right after the hopkins fight said he would go to 168. you guys making shyt up and acting as if ward and goosen put a gun to dawson head and told him to go down at 168. "chad fucced chad" when it came to the negotiations for the fight. if he didn't have such a shyt head like shaw as a promoter, maybe the fight would have been at 175, maybe the fight would have been somewhere neutral, maybe chad would have gotten more than 600K to ward 1.3M . either way ward still would've gotten in dawson ass . the selective hate for ward is over the top.

The contracts were already signed..and Dawson also wanted to drop to 168 to enter the Super 6
