Lemiuex is by far his toughest opponent in the pros and that pretty much sums up his pro career. Imo he needs to fight ward its the best fight boxing has right now bar none. It would be such a huge fight I dont care what anyone says just look at any comment section on a ward ggg thread its filled no boxing fan would miss that fight.

My point is ggg is human hes not a god. He may go down as one of the best fighters ever but to me its no different then when people prop up any other over hyped fighter. GGG is the real deal dont get me wrong but cant we at least wait for him to prove it?

The problem is the best fight for ggg legacy by far is ward its not even close he beats ward hes number 1 p4p deserved or not and is a bonafid superstar. I just dont think he will do it which is a shame I get why he wont he can keep beating up guys at 160 class like lemieux and andy lee but god would i love to see 2 guys in their prime like ward and ggg fight it would be the real fight of our era not manny and pac
There is no question you are not a boxing historian. You certainly are a ***** and Wardaholic. Quick question; What kind of opponents did Hagler fight before Hearns? If you knew you would STFU. You sound silly. And Ward is fighting at 175 the next fight.

I'll be at the fight on Saturday, so I can't wait for it. I like GGG and even Lemieux is hard not to cheer for. David can hit and even though GGG can take a punch, I don't know how many of those power shots he can. So it wouldn't surprise me if he goes down.

If GGG wins, then I think we'll have a much clearer picture of who he really is in the next year. This is assuming he wins and the canelo/cotto winner step up. GGG has at least been fighting ranked fighters, but he does need that marquee name. He is not that young and probably only has 3 years to really cement his legacy.

Does Lemieux hit much harder than Stevens? A better chin than Murray? Cos you need both of these for GGG. If not he's gonna have an uncomfortable night cos he's not quick enough to run for 12 rounds.

Can't wait for GGG v Canelo, i think this is his first real test. Would like to see Ward but lets face it, GGG Ward is as likely as GGG Mayweather in the next 12 months.

Hagler Hearns 2 with knock downs. He may very well but ggg down but my guess is Lemieux will be the last one to go down. This is going to be a good fight as long as it lasts

I think some of you cats are believing the hype a lil too much. I think the odds are better this fight is a showcase for GGG more than it'll answer some questions. Believe GGG is a -1600 or better favorite (ie bet $1.6k+ to win $100) at most sports books. Few are expecting this to be a real test for GGG.

I think some people hate GGG so much they are wishing Lemieux is better than he is & some of the GGG fanboys are hyping Lemieux as better than he is so they can celebrate the W all the more, but us cats in the middle seem to think this is a GGG KO waiting to happen with some small chance that Lemieux could make it interesting & a even smaller chance that Lemieux could win.

Lemieux is going to be surprised by GGG's boxing ability.

I put Wilder and GGG in the same category. Every opponent they fought, gave them that god like status. But then I ask, "who have they fought?"

I can see why you would like to put them in the same category, but it doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Outside of Stiverne, Wilder's opposition has not cracked top 20 in his division. And while GGG has not fought the elite middleweights, his opposition has been at least decent and had several fighters ranked in top 10 at the time of the fight. I'm not saying GGG has fought the best or deserves to be #1 P4P, but no matter how much the haters want to pick on his competition, they have mostly been solid B fighters.
