So how are you being protected if you make all those concessions to a guy like Froch? How many up and coming stars take a risk like that?

I don't mind him unifying I just have my doubts on Cotto and Canelo's willingness to fight him. We all know the history of the WBC.
That's why I say whether or not he gets the title shot. If he doesn't and legally he can't do anything about it, then move on to the next best thing which would likely be Ward. I don't see how the WBC can delay it any further though, barring some kind of controversial decision that requires an immediate rematch by the WBC. If there is a clear winner, it's been out in the open for a while now that GGG has the right to the winner and I believe they can take legal action if the WBC tries to **** them around.

He didn't think he can win the fight, he ducked it.... We all move on, the sad bit was him being sold as "Nobody wants to fight me" but he fought a boyband member in his last fight doe...

I never said Golovkin was protected. Not once. Clearly his team doesn't think he could beat Ward, though, and clearly his fans think the same based on the way they try so hard to portray Ward as a monstrous light heavyweight who is also an irrelevant glass chinned bum.

The thing none of these scared Golovkin fans can get through their heads is that I don't have a problem with Golovkin. I like Golovkin and can't wait to see how the next few months play out. He could be in line to unify the middleweight division by the time this year is over. I have a problem with Golovkin's fans. They are the biggest bunch of hypocritical p*ssies on NSB right now. It's unbelievable how quickly the GGG fanbase has gone from "money and popularity is no excuse to avoid a fighter, who cares about money and PPVs" to a bunch of wannabe promoters who only talk about PPVs and money.

Most likely scenario is the Cotto/Alvarez winner just vacates. I still think Alvarez would fight him, though. i know a lot of people disagree but Alvarez has already shown a lot of willingness to make fights that fans want to see.

If not and they both vacate, the WBC will be more than happy to strap that belt on Golovkin after he stomped whoever he had to fight. I really hope they keep their word and Golovkin is fighting for that belt early next year.

Ok whatever. Or they might have much better options at his own weight, unlike the much more proven Ward who's only got Kovalev 3lbs up but needs 3 tuneups first.

Aren't you embarrassed for Team Ward for this tasteless PR offensive directed at "Lil G" without a quality win from 1+ division below? Asking for 50/50 with no weight concession against a guy with way more starpower, heading into his 1st unification on HBO PPV. Asking for 2m for walkovers, PPV upside for undercard, 3 tuneups for a guy 3 lbs up, turning down fringe contenders, threatening lawsuits via lawyer saying "Lil G"... It's cringeworthy

If Team Golovkin would shut the **** up about Ward, Ward wouldn't say a word. Every time Ward or someone representing him speaks up, it's in response to something Golovkin's people say.

And now Ward's moving on to Kovalev, so you can breath easy and keep pretending Ward is some huge LHW picking on poor little 140 pound Golovkin.

Thats not how it went at all. They barely mentioned Ward, then prior to Paul Smith, Ward accuses of GGG ducking him with "8-9 excuses". Only then it comes out it was him that said no to HBO, cause you know, he was unavailable. The GTFO with "8-9 excuses" if you're unavailable. If they were using his name, they'd be crowing about it for years. Then this "Lil G", "36 minutes" schoolyard ****, and the laughable 50/50 offer for next year lol.

Ward is not moving on to Kovalev, at best to tuneup #1 out of 3 this p4per needs to face a guy 3lbs up. But he's still strongly considering BET's counter offer.

if the Cotto-Canelo winner vacates or is stripped, GGG does not have to fight anyone for the title. As intertim champ, he would be elevated to full champion if there is a strippage or vacating.....

Not that simple: the 'lineal' belt stays with the winner -- no matter who wins, Cotto or Canelo... They may vacate only the WBC strap... Surprise!
