Still think Matthysse is a good fighter, sadly he is just one of those fighters that can't win the big one for what ever reason. Also he struggles with Skilled Boxers, then again most fighters do so I won't hold that against him.

Yeah some of on this forum overhyped him simply because of him Power but I wouldn't call him a "Hype Job"

He started his career bullying little guys. He's barely an athlete in there. For a guy who has won so many straps he has virtually fought no one (except for the two guys he lost to).

He's a 4 time champ. Even if you take away two of them since they were vacant titles, that's not a hype job. He's clearly not the next Floyd, I mean who is? But Lucas is a much bigger hype job. no he didn't. he won some and he lost some. the reason he didn't have a belt is luck and circumstances. he destroyed peterson(better win than any broner win) who had a belt but haymon didn't want them fighting for a belt so he made it a non title fight. he won and he lost same as broner cept lucas fought the better competition yet you hate on him for taking risks and praise broner because he cherry picked his way to 4 belts. only one of those belts was legit over dimarco and dimarco wasn't very good and had no staying power at the top. 2 of them were vacant belts against unranked guys and the third was against paulie who was coming off a robbery win over cano.

how has he accomplished much more? winning crap belts against undeserving challengers? get real. matthyse's resume sh-its on broner's. he's fought so many better fighters than broner. he's beaten better fighters than broner has, and he's been on the wrong end of controversial fights while broner has been on the right end of controversial fights. getting everything handed to you is the definition of hype.

Broner was getting hyped as the next Floyd and some saying next FOTD remember that thread. Either way, you cant deny Lucas took the harder road. I mean Broner was getting close decisions ppl thought he lost to fuc*kin PDL who got sparked by lil Mares a 122lb fighter.
