my god Larry is an idiot. Floyd might as well fight all the top dogs from 140-168. And even then people will still tell'm to fight wilder too.

Larry is right in his analysis. He is also a bitter old man, a bit.

Floyd is making a business transaction here.

I don't like the state of boxing these days. Surely Merchant is thinking of Haggler-Hearns, Leonard-Haggler, Leonard-Hearns.

These guys use to fight the best guys around.

Even a guy like ODLH. Oscar fought the best guys he could fight.

I rate Oscar ahead of Floyd, in all honesty. Why? Because Oscar always tested himself, he always fought the best, and he usually won. Hell, he gave Floyd one of his best fights, in Floyd's prime, when Oscar was already well past his best days.

Floyd is incredibly rich because of how he has conducted his career. It is hard to denigrate that, really.

Every serious boxing fan, who has watched his career, knows that his last true competitive challenge, competitive meaning matchups dictated by competition in front of one rather than business decisions, was Jose Luis Castillo.

He had an historic run at 130, then moved through the weight classes.

He hasn't fought the most intriguing fighters, since Castillo. He has fought the most profitable opponents.

And then he goes and pulls stuff like with Maidana, with the gloves, which was completely out of line.

This is why serious fight fans criticize Mayweather. This is also why he can never be considered a top fighter, all time. Top 10-15, sure. There's a case to be made there.

I don't care for Mayweather. Fighting Berto is not fitting for a guy of his standing in boxing. With all that said, Merchant is a joke and a fake tough guy.

Calls himself the best ever...and only fought a couple guys at their best. Smh. You people are sheep.

Floyd does this by starving his fans of fight, so eventually they are just happy if Floyd gives you a fight.

People want FLoyd to fight GGG as they want him to reach his latent potential and take a proper challenge and risk. Is fighting someone your underdog against too big an ask?
                    Rubbish !

I dont hear Merchant calling for Pacquiao to fight Golovkin.

I didn't hear Merchant ridicule Pacquiao when he ducked Cotto at 150.

I didn't hear Merchant calling for Pacquiao to fight Canelo.

Come to think of it, I didn't hear you doing any of those things either.

Wow here's another idiot trying to push his own opinion and agenda as facts.

You don't rate Floyd as a top fighter but many "serious boxing fans" do.

Your post should have stopped at the "I rate Oscar" part because that's all it is, your opinion.

Stop trying to speak for all "serious boxing fans" with your limited opinion of what defines a great fighter.

You guys are so annoying, I feel like I'm reading the opinion of a bunch of childish immature kids.

                      Edit:

Plus you're an idiot, Leonard said "we waited for the right time to fight Hagler" (one G btw). He went on to extrapolate this comment to say something along the lines of him waiting till he knew Hagler was beatable.

yet you claim this victory as the best fighting the best at their respective bests.

                      Hypocrisy running rampant.
