160lb hopkins vs ggg who wins

    When GGG was fighting in Germany I thought that Hopkins would be an intriguing match up. But current GGG is much more formidable fighter than he was 4-5 years ago. GGG by KO.
    However, prime Roy Jones Jr probably could upset GGG at 160 lb due to insane reflexes and unique style.

      BHop gets outworked like he did vs Taylor. Hopkins/Echols I, Bernard showed his chin wasn't invincible, it's very likely Golovkin could hurt him.

      Bernard winning this fight would be dependent on him shutting down GGG's offense, because Bernard was neither a big puncher nor a high volume guy. Golovkin doesn't fight like Trinidad. Tito was the smaller man and didn't handle the rough house tactics Hopkins uses very well. Golovkin includes clinch/wrestling into his training.

          Donaire wasn't fighting in his best division that much is evident that and the fact he was good but nothing special, beating an opponent like Donaire by YOUR standard to rate someone great/proven doesn't count.
          Oh yes Donaire gave the fight offer to Rigo when Rigo was fighting in the same weight division how does that compare?

          We have to ignore all the amateur fights Rigo and GGG had as well because that doesn't count by your criteria as well so in essence you're basically saying both these guys are unproven and don't deserve to be called good.

              Ggg............

              GGG would beat Hopkin's in a similar way that SK did. He would outwork Hopkin's and not fall for his tricks. Hopkin's is a bit overrated on here like Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather. GGG is a "smart" pressure fighter.

                GGG would be too smart for Hopkins and would his superior boxing skills to figure him out. Hopkins always struggled with the very good fighters and GGG would be no exception.

                  No you missed the point all together (shocking). Again, when Rigo was presented an opportunity to prove himself (Donaire, p4p number 6 at the time), he jumped on it. When ggg was presented an opportunity to prove himself, they ran for cover

                    Donaire & Rigo fight at 122

                    GGG fights at 160

                    Ward fights at 168.

                    Don't hurt yourself thinking too hard but two of those fights don't fight in the same division. While the other two do.

                      no need to be a priikc, the fact remains, ggg has yet to fight a quality opponent and has no concrete plans to do so. Rigo took the chance and made it pay
