As long as Maidana is allowed to remain in Argentina, around the comforts of his ranch, his pops, and his wife he will never focus on boxing. He is entirely too comfortable with life there to train. I like Marcos but its easily notable he just wanted to make enough money to buy these new comforts, he's happy with a crib in the city and a little ranch in the country to go bust gats on and camp. At this point he'll come back for some paydays but I just don't see him having that old fire in his belly ever again, he's way too satisfied..maybe if he went full on broke.

damn man it's not looking good for my boy maidana, he either has to come back and fight a can which sucks or come back and fight someone good and have a good chance of losing.

So who's waiting on Maidana? Porter, Garcia, Thurman are all available. Why can't they fight each other? What's the problem? You can add Alexander in the mix and you have 2 acceptable matchups.
You can be sure once Maidana becomes available all these guys would all be scrambling for excuses and avoid him like a plague.
