I'd say Tito was special. First to beat Carr, Campas, Oscar and Pea (although Oscar was controversial and Pea past it). First to beat Reid and Vargas as well. First to decisively beat Joppy. He was like 40-0 (33 KO's), and had won titles in three divisions before taking that L to Hopkins.

Tito was a wonderful fighter in his prime. At welter he would've been a handful for anybody.

However, he lost badly to Hopkins and Winky and should have lost 8-4 to Oscar. Technical guys, I think Floyd would have beaten him. Manny VS Trinidad would have been a war though, and nobody ever beat Tito going to war with him.

Yeah but they are technical guys who were his size, with Winky and Hop being naturally bigger. These guys are 5''10, 5''11 and 6''1 and they could all hold their own with Trinidad strength wise. Those guys all had the power to make Trinidad respect them.

Floyd has nothing to keep Trinidad off. Trinidad would take a while to warm up then walk right through Floyd.

Floyd is smart and slick enough to get by for a while, Floyd circa 06-07 would be pretty damn hard to stop, his legs were super fast back then but I think Felix probably gets him down the stretch. Then again Floyd has a solid chin, he could go 12.

Floyd of these days gets stopped pretty certainly imo. His legs dont have enough in the tank to get the distance he would need to avoid punishment. You cant just sit on the ropes rolling off Trinidads punches all night. He gets hurt.

All this Floyd would had out boxed him when the boxers that outboxed Tito were the same size or larger than him. This would had been closer than most think

Mayweather has JMW on lock, and he fought Canelo.

If Tito weighs in at 147, he would not be too big for Mayweather, no way.

If we are talking prime, then the size discrepancy will be a little bigger.

It took Mayweather awhile to fill into welter, but he would be fine.

Mayweathers style/precision allows him to compete against larger opponents, that has always been the case, and evident since Corrales.

No excuses for Mayweather, hes a welter no problem.

Mayweather is the very definition of a P4P fighter, he would fare much better against Trinidad than Pacquiao would, I could see Tito getting very frustrated in that fight.

Experienced world-class vets can sometimes do liitle things, make little adjustments to offset an opponents strength..... I would favor Mayweather but thats why fights happen in the ring and theoretical matchups should be taken with a grain of salt.

I think that Trinidad could be right in that fight after trailing early.

                  Amen to that !

A bit presumptuous to say that Mayweather wins easy.

Nothing would be easy about Trinidad.

Floyd's power is better than Tito's ability to cut off the ring. Who cares if Floyd can't hurt him if Tito wouldn't even be able to hit him lol.
