Canelo doesn't really belong in the same sentence as the other two and Floyd fought Cotto 4-5 years late, and Pacquiao 6 years late.
Mosley was a 10 years late, Oscar was past prime too & Marquez was older coming up from lightweight.
Yeah he has the names, but he didn't fight them at their best. Not one of them - and that was deliberate.
Come on man. Whilst there is some truth in what you say, all were in very good positions in their career and certainly not old or washed up at the point Floyd fought them, so let's be realistic here. It's not like he's beating Hopkins. Aside from the Pacquiao fight, the other fights seemed to come at the right time.
Regarding Oscar and Mosely, Mayweather would have loved to have fought them when he was younger and still green, do you think they would have given him a shot??
It is funny to read these comments now, and thinking back to what people on here we're saying before each of the fights.
"He'll never fight Mosely, too big and too quick!"
Fights and beats Mosely
"Mosely old doe"
"He'll never fight Cotto- he's too strong!"
Fights and defeats Cotto
"Cotto not the fighter he was, margarito ruined him"
"He'll never fight Canelo- too young and too strong!"
It's not about the slowmotion. It's about who actually connected more throughout the fight and who really deserves the win. It just so happens slowmotion just proves who really won that night. Respect is earned. Floy didnt earn it.
missing the point.. only reason ppl whining about slow motion its because they're butt hurt pacquiao didn't get the job done. . where was all this slow motion hype when manny got a gift in the third marquez fight ?..i remember how majority of ppl reacted when jmm said he won, they told him to shut up and accept defeat.. well that's all i'm telling pac fans to do, shut up and accept it. the boy got schooled. bottom line.
