Comments Thread For: Thurman: I Want Danny Garcia This Year or Early Next

WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman (26-0, 22KOs) would love to get a fight with Danny Garcia (31-0, 18KOs), who recently moved up from the junior welterweight ranks where he held the WBC and WBA world titles.

Thurman was ringside at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Garcia moved up to the welterweight division and stopped former two-division champion Paulie Malignaggi.

Both guys want it. Lets see if haymon and pbc make it happen for the fans or he BS 's boxing fans by having both go different directions.

Shut people up and put on a 50 50 fight between two top prime fighters. Or do the same old mismatching and keep top fighters away from eachother. Haymons specialty

Two undefeated young fighters in their prime, should be one hell of a fight. Danny needs to step it up though, he only has one gear, one pace. He needs to inject some energy and adrenaline sometimes and go for it. He moves as lifeless as a zombie.

Both get ended by Maidana, no doubt about it. They get sparked up.

I didn't see the paulie fight but thurmans prone to hooks and Garcia has good power and timing. Finally could get a chance to see if thurmans got a chin.

No way! what the hell has Thurman done to deserve a shot at swift?

Has he fought a Salka, a cheat or been beaten to a pulp by Porter? No he hasn't, so he wouldn't even be in the running and should stop using Swift's name to gain recognition.

Everyone would like a place among the towering greats on Danny's resume, which some regard as the best ever.
