I am one of the biggest Mayweather fans on this site, but there's no defending a Berto fight! If you're a Mayweather fan, you shouldn't be defending a Berto fight either. When Manny chose Rios (the loser) over Alvarado, we gave it to him. When Manny chose Algeri, we gave it to him. We (Mayweather fans) can not now accept a fight vs. Berto! GGG may not be well-accomplished regarding opponents, but he's 100% more credible than Berto, and 154 is an advantage to Floyd, not GGG. Khan looked like ass vs. Algeri, but even Virgil would tell you that Khan is better than Berto. Kell Brook came to the U.S. and took Porter's belt, and has the only WW belt that Mayweather does NOT. Berto did nothing in that Josesito Lopez fight to earn a shot at Floyd!

No Jeff Floyd shouldn't fight Berto but yes he can its a free country. Floyd is at the top and an ATG so he is held to a higher standard. So Berto is absolutely not a good choice but he can fight him just don't expect the boxing world to be excited and praise him for it.

rios is even better than berto! berto lost to past-prime journeyman soto karass and was completely shut out by guerrero and quitter ortiz. rios would STOP berto.

Lol yes anybody can fight berto... Floyd fighting him is an insult to those that can before him. Berto is not a good fighter and honestly I personally don't think he ever was. But if Floyd fights him and looks bad uncle Jeff.. Then it only serves to prove that Floyd isn't that great and has hand picked his opposition.
