This thread along with its posts are hilarious .... I was going to comment on quite a few completely idiotic posts\responses, but I'm going to forgo the back and forth with mules who are without a doubt, unobjective.
Observations:
- Many are claiming and accusing Haymon of using illegal tactics, illegal procedures, violating the Ali Act. etc... While dismissing all of the illegal crap that Arum has done throughout his career in boxing. (Laughable in and of itself) Furthermore, no one here can state with any certainty, why Arum chose to file this suit or what objectives are to be accomplished, outside of a cash reward. Yet, many are trying their best to argue Arum's point\complaint without having even the most miniscule amount of actual data.
Additionally, it would seem that whenever Haymon is mentioned, its automatically assumed by those harboring some hidden agenda, that he is in the wrong. While at the same time and under similar circumstances in the past, Arum, who is quite possible the most corrupt personality in boxing, gets a pass and receives the benefit of doubt. How can anyone in their right mind make the statement that they're giving Arum the benefit of doubt in any instance, given his history?
Silliness in black and white ............

The fighters are free agents in Haymon's system and can work for any promoter they choose. These dinosaurs are mad that a new business model has made them obsolete.
There is no doubt whatsever that Haymon is violating the Act. Anyone with even a basic understanding of the Act knows that. The only issue is whether or not the Feds will actually do anything about it, because in the complete history of the Act, Im not aware of a single prosecution by the Justice Dept......

"Its not what you think, but what you can actually prove in a court of law"
That saying rings true here .......

You may want it to be painfully clear that Haymon is violating the act, but so far it doesn't seem like a clear violation, but hey thats what cases are for. I don't see Arum or GB winning tho

Go figure. Now he pays them too much? Although didn't Timmy get 1.5 to fight the young, hungry, undefeated, giant killer that is Jesse Vargas?
Posters need to stop assuming because people dislike what Haymon's doing that they automatically like what Arum's doing. His mediocre in-house b/s sucks too, and HBO have pretty much told him that and to take his crap to TruTv.

It's really simple honestly.
Arum and Golden Boy are feeling threatened and emasculated by Haymon. It's like those guys who are constantly on alert about their GF cheating on them with superior men. That's how Oscar and Arum feel about the more successful Haymon.
