I don't know if there is too much. I do think you need to stage fights in arena s where the crowd cares about one or both fighters so you get a better TV product.

For example Broner v Porter in Ohio, not Vegas.

I don't think the ratings suggest that it's over saturated at all. This years had the best #s in boxing in however long. Not every week is going to be a HR

I've enjoyed the different card times and the sunday card the other day, but it does feel like a scatter gun approach. The battle of Ohio in Vegas, Frampton making his debut in Texas etc make it look like not much thought has gone in to their strategy.

I'd give it a year though before we draw any conclusions.

The biggest issue I see is when these networks put boxing fights on at the same time or same day. Do they think people have no lives? How hell can we watch everything and still enjoy the weekend? Some people do like to get out, especially during the summer.

How about they spreadout the dates they show fights so they aren't overlapping each other or you have some airing around 3-4pm, and then another airing at 9-10pm? It's overload that you can only really pick one if you still want to enjoy the day.

Rather they are pushing so much of it on us to the point where you say it's either this or that, well I can always catch a rerun or download replay the next day, but I can't miss out on this date to do something with someone outside, of course I'll pick going outside.

PBC just isn't very good and that's the truth. i've been saying it since the very beginning. i hope more people avoid PBC because it's not boxing. it's poor imitation and the ratings prove it. it has nothing to do with being spread too thin. people are just not interested anymore with what haymon is selling. it's cheap, it's amateur.

mediocre matchups, mediocre commentary, mediocre production , etc. etc. people are realizing how much of a con show this is.

While PBC takes a three-week break—lf only to reload—this weekend is yet another where boxing will appear on seemingly every network. HBO returns on Saturday night, with a doubleheader that will open with the 1,000th live fight in the network’s history. It’s the last card of a stretch that saw HBO have its hand in eight events in the past 11 weeks.

The run is the notable exception to market saturation. Of the eight shows, HBO produced the four most-watched premium cable fights of 2015, including Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez’ 3rd round knockout of James Kirkland in what was the highest rated fight on premium cable since 2006. I don't really agree with this. Khan-Algieri performed very well at the box office and on the tube, for example.

It's not a PBC problem. Tonight there are four shows, none of which are PBC events. All but one CBS Sports Network card this year has aired opposite at least one other broadcast, twice airing opposite two other shows. The one non-competing card aired at something like 1:00 a.m. ET.

Never too much boxing lol but its hard to keep up now with like 4 different networks playing fights at the same time hopefully we continue to get quality matchups and dont hit a dry spell
