Maidana did some things worth crediting but when people talk about deserving a rematch or how close a fight it was, it's laughable really. Maidana only won rounds 1,5 and 8. He was successful in spoiling the last two rounds which may have messed with people's perception of the fight but he still looked pathetic in those rounds, didn't have the energy to put in quality work so he resorted to spoiling. Can't believe that rematch even happened, British commentating was far more accurate.

People are just way to over the top in defending stuff. The truth is even the Cotto Manny beat was being talked down, because of the beating he took from Margarito, then the SD to Clottey.
And the same rightfully happened too Floyd.
Deal with it people, Fact: The Cotto Floyd fought already went through two life changing beatings.

Its like explaining Calculus to a 5 year old. They went gaga because Maidana was insanely dirty in the first fight then complained because Mayweather held in the second fight. Why even try to explain the intricacies of the squared circle to fools who cant appreciate the subtle nuances of a half step counter straight, who instead prefer to call it running and pitty pat punching. The reality is Mayweather had to be more cerebral in his fight against Cotto, in which there was subtle adjustments made by both fighters, while Maidana was relegated to lunging in wildly, prayer punching, and being dirty.

Cotto was not washed up, he just had a wrong Trainer in 2012. But you still have to give Mayweather credit for the win. Same with Marquez. Mayweather has a verry good record no doubt. Only haters say otherwise. Im not a fan of Mayweather and his fighting style and the ****** stuff he often says but he IS the best p4p, it is funny that manny people still arguing about that.

Cotto put up a better fight than expected but it was still an easy win. Jim **** **** Lampley got excited because his main squeeze Cotto had a little success. So, Mayweather had a nose bleed in the fight... The horror!

Since 2012, he has fought Delvin Rodriguez, Wheel Chair Legs Martinez, And Weight Drained Geale.
... Floyd might still take Cotto for the 'lineal belt' at the MW, though...
