Yea, at 154, I dont think Golovkin could beat Lara or Canelo.

Lara is a natural 154'lber, and very difficult stylistically.

Then people will say don't make excuses GGG, you knew what you was letting yourself into.
The thing is killing him making weight should be a good enough advantage already, no need to then say he cant rehydrate as well. But Floyd just wants the zero at any cost.

The reality is rehydrating wont help GGG, as he would have killed himself already trying to make 154.
        You are 100% correct !

That is the 2nd time that I have agreed with something you wrote.

Golovkin can rehydrate to 180 if he wants, that will not help him one little bit.

He would be a slug carrying around that water-weight after making 154.

After 8 rounds he wouldnt be lookin too good at all.

Journalists need to stop asking about this match-up.

The funny thing is, Golovkin/Ward is even less likely.

154 w/ 12lb rehydration is fair. It squeezes Genady a little but also puts Mayweather at a disadvantage by having to fight a much larger opponent.

Ward/Golovkin is inevitable unless one gets tripped up. HBO wants that fight at some point, and will make it happen.

lol @ all the people pushing the "he doesn't have to fight GGG doe". Only a few hardcore floyd haters think he still has to prove he's great. It's much like how Duran did not have to fight Barkley to be considered great etc etc.

Yeah see except instead of holding onto the belt and telling everyone he's too small for JMW he vacated the title. That's what you should do when you feel you have no business staying at a weight class.

If you fight a few times in a given weight class, and hold onto the titles it seems reasonable for you to expect people to be calling you out for fights at that weight level. (On that note, not sure if Floyd has vacated his titles. I know he said he would, just haven't heard any updates on that)

This latest crap is Floyd senile responding to some idiot asking about a Golovkin fight.

This is a nonsense fight but if it ever does get made it would make sense to put a re-hydration clause in, but not at the scale weight. What weight were Canelo and Maidana in the ring when they fought Mayweather?
I think they were both about 165 in the ring (not sure what Maidana came in as for the second fight). I'd be fine with a rehydration clause that allows him to be in that territory on fight night.
