You have to remember, none of these fights are profitable. There spending over 4 mill for this fight easily.

is that worth it? It's impossible to tell, but realistically, how long can they really do this for? How long are these investors really going to let Haymon just throw $ at this?

I don't know what there measurement if success is, but I personally wouodnt consider 2.4 a win or a loss here for them.
They have already $450mm in the bank. They'll be fine relax..

Not to mention the return of Ward was on BET, Lemeiux vs N'dam on Fox sports, and Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock on spike were all airing simultaneously and/or crossed over. Plus other world sporting events as well as a major movie weekend for Pixar with the release of Inside Out. Yeah but lets go with the idiots who think 2.4 million is a low number.
I knew someone would come in comparing this to HBO to try and spin this as a success lol. HBO is premium cable where they charge their viewers monthly. Its subscriotion based totally different model then network tv where you are paid by advertisers which PBC has little to none. Which is why they need higher ratings to lure them. NBC is not paying a dime PBC pays for the fighters and pays NBC for the time slot. Game of throne gets a fraction of the TV ratings as network tv shows yet because it's subscription based it generates way more money and is one of the biggest shows out right now. Of course if HBO got these ratings it would be a success but for network prime time and all the money PBC is losing these are terrible ratings.

While I'm not a huge fan of the way PBC handles their fighters(match making wise, not money.) I want them to succeed badly to open the door for regular prime time boxing on free channels.
Yes, it is one of the 4 'Majors'. The others being The Masters, The British Open, and the PGA Championship.

I wouldn't expect Porter-Broner to beat out the U.S. Open haha. Especially with Spieth in the hunt. When non-majors start beating out Mayweather fights start stressing..

And? No one really cares what you think. PBC hasn't been any better than the XFL, but at least it's boxing on free TV.

They say that, but well see.

At some point investors are going to look at the #s and make a projection based on them.

If they don't like what they see they'll pull that $ out and give it to someone else.

PBC doesn't have to go up against much. The XFL has to go up against the NFL. Huge Difference. If Boxing had the popularity that the NFL Did, PBC would be in Trouble.

Nah. With even current numbers they'll walk away with a huge TV deal. Sports valuations are skyrocketing..
