First of all, I am not an ALT and if you wish I will be happy to put up a bet in real world dollars, you can choose the amount - not under $1000, and you can try to prove it. Feel free to get the board admins to check all their server logs and I will even gladly give an admin my full name and contact information for verification purposes. If you refuse to accept this bet then you can SHUT THE **** UP you piece of donkey turd.

I think what hurts PBC sometimes is that it's on too many stations. I don't know if it's on Spike, CBS or the OWN station from one week to the next and they come on at different times. I'm sure that surge in ratings during the latter part of the fight was the people who thought that the fight was coming on later or since they didn't see it on one of the other channels, or the channel where they had the behind the scenes look at each fighter they may assumed it wasn't on or was coming on later on that same hannel.
I was pissed a few weeks ago for the Dirrell fight because I missed it and didn't realize it until I came on here and there was an article saying that he lost. My dad called me to remind me of the Dirrell fight and that the undercard was getting ready to come on and I already was prepared for it. While watching the undercard, I look on this website between rounds and that's when I realized, they fought earlier because of the location. So I figured, maybe I'm watching the taped delay fights, but after the undercards, it went off. It's just too confusing. You even have their 24/7 version of letting the audience get to know the fighters behind the scenes, but after that goes off, you have to switch stations to find the fight. Just way to confusing. Maybe because I'm getting older and I'm set in my ways and I'm just used to how HBO and Showtime does it.

Example: Andre Ward just got $2 million to fight a slob, and ROC actually had to buy the airtime on BET, as well as paper the arena with free tickets to make it look full on tv. How does that scenario benefit anyone except Andre Ward? Do you honestly think he's going to fight a live body for $2 million, or $3 million, or even $5 million, when he can basically just do "bag work" against a dummy for $2 mil?
But the underlying issue here is not how much money Andre Ward (or anyone else) makes. What the exact number is I dont care. But if that number makes it unlikely or impossible for BETTER matchups to be made because of the money, THATS where I have an issue with it......
Better talent throughout the sport equals better fights period. If we had 20 more studs that instead of playing endless minor league baseball got into boxing for the money we might have a better matchup for Spence on Sat. Deepen the pool, get better fights.
We need a company like PBC to be willing to burn the cash necessary to make those purses sustainable. Building a brand is highly expensive and if Al wants to burn the cash to make it happen, well I'm all for it..Last edited by BWC; 06-22-2015, 12:28 PM.

Its only the 3rd PBC show on NBC primetime, so it's literally in last place.
It's the lowest rates on for its timeslot, half that of Thurman.

, Canelo does 2.3 million viewers on HBO and all the Africans get all salty, but they think it's the greatest when Broner does 2.4 million viewers on NBC, .
