Ward is 32 years old and had opponents like Froch, Kessler or Dawson, his resume still shits on Golovkin's even with that long lay off with courtroom battles and an injury. Yes, even if he fights Paul smith next.

Golovkin is 33 years old, fights 4 per a year now on HBO, very active but his resume is still nowhere near of Ward's.

These are the hard, cold facts.

Ward has proved himself numeral of occasions against elite level opponents, Golovkin hasn't done that yet but still Ward gets the more critics. Interesting to me.
No where near, not even close. It's laughable. Fought 6 KO's Monroe Jr...talking **** about Smith as a comeback fight after 2 years, this guy fought a Monroe Jr while being active. Why not move up and fight Bika, or some actual challenge. When Ward didn't have a challenging fight scheduled when he was active, he took on Sakio Bika in the meantime to stay active vs a tough, durable opponent. Not a guy with 6 KO's.

Based on his earlier fights? Yes I think he will beat both of them. I can just hope that we will see those fights.

That is debatable.... I mean Paul Smith is coming off back to back losses and now they're fighting at 172 lbs...

Can't remember last time GGG faced an opponent coming off two losses at a catchweight.

You must be both, you should know he can speak his language and have it translated.

              NSB is full of adolescents.
Of course I know he didnt say that English (if he did at all). Just that it sounds way too scripted

Ward was in a much different position than GGG. Ward doesn't fight the kind of style that can end someones career, so that risk isn't there. He also was a name due to the Super6 & being on HBO, so he brought pay-days with him.

GGG is a much more dangerous guy to fight, big name guys like Chavez Jr and Froch ended up either backing away from negotiations or refused to sign an extension w/ their promoter in order to secure the GGG bout.

GGG is also in a division where politics play a much much larger role in determining matchups. All of the top guys at 160 are in what amounts to the equivalent of a Boxing Cold-War, Haymon guys can't be allowed on HBO unless it's a purse-bid/mandatory challenge (HBO has stated that they no longer do business with Al Haymon, google it), and the remaining guys have their on circumstances on why they won't fight GGG (Cotto says GGG isn't a name, yet he fights Geale and those same criteria no longer apply) and Jermain Taylor who was with Haymon, now has been stripped and his belt is up for grabs in the N'Dam/Lemieux fight

The fact that 160 is a very weak division with only 4-5 "top guys" has made it difficult for GGG to get that career defining win to shut the haters up

Lemieux, Quillin, Cotto, Lee, which of these guys would you give credit to GGG for beating? I already know the answer.

In a perfect world, Hershman would have organized a "Super 6" tournament at the Middleweight right now... After that I would like to see Golovkin's pedigree...

People are really showing their ignorance in this thread. English isn't Golovkin's first language so you're not going to get many words out of him: it does not mean he is incapable of expressing his views, it just means that he is unable to express them in English.

He was interviewed in a language he is more familiar with so we got his thoughts on the matter.

Hopefully Ward and Golovkin can get something sorted in the next year or two. I don't think Ward can stick around at 168lb indefinitely and both fighters are getting up there in age.

All the Wardtards are going into freak out mode because GGG has brought out facts that can be confirmed by HBO, namely that Golovkin said yes to a fight and Ward said NO. They are trying to figure a way to spin that right now but their tiny brains are all confused.

Does Ward really want to get into the ring with a Golovkin who has no respect for him as a man and will be in that ring to hurt him, not simply to win? Can Ward clinch and hold and head butt and run enough to keep Golovkin from beating him to a pulp? The big question is...

                      IS WARD SERIOUS?????
