The two boxers collided in the main event of a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) card on Spike, which took place at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

After twelve rounds, Khan walked away with the win. The scores were 117-111 on two cards and by 115-113 on the third. Algieri lost for the second time in a row after dropping a twelve round decision to Manny Pacquiao last November in Macua, China.

The judges gave Khan the 12th somehow.

The fight was closer than the 117-111. 115-113 either way or even a draw can understand, personally I thought Algieri did a bit more, but I dont score flurry combos to the gloves, clinching as ring generalship or headlocks..

        No.

Your pure athleticism is not enough, Chris.

You just don't have the moves to make it at this level. You got lucky landing the Pacman gig.

Make what you can, don't get hurt and go be a heart surgeon or something.

A lot closer than what the TV commentary in England were suggesting.
Yeah I agree. I have no personal preference for either fighter. As a complete neutral observer I had the fight for Algieri by 1 point. There were several rounds that were very close so I have no problem with the judge who scored it for Khan by 2 points.

It was a very close fight and it depends on what style you like. I felt Algieri controlled the fight more and landed the more significant clear punches. I haven't seen the punch stats but I would assume Khan landed more. Khan had the quantity and Algieri had the quality punches. For me the difference between the two was that Algieri was walking Khan down more often than not.

As a neutral observer I felt that the British commentators on BoxNation we're extremely biased and one eyed for Khan. Regardless, I think Khan hurt his reputation - a close fight with a guy that Pacquiao recently embarrassed. And Mayweather just beat Pacquiao. For me it would be a joke if Mayweather signs Khan.

I don't know about him winning, but it was pretty damn close and could have went to either guy. I thought algieri landed the better shots and staggered kahn a few times. Great improvement by algieri.

It was close, I personally scored it for Algieri but anything other than a 7-5 for either fighter is just crazy.

                    I had Khan winning. 8-4 or 7-5.

I was impressed with Algieri's performance though. John David Jackson had a good game plan. Don't try box Khan like Alexander tried...pressure him, believe you can walk through his punches and try land a big shot yourself.

Algieri is an underrated fighter. Yes, Pacquiao dominated him..but Pacquiao dominates most guys.
Now Algieri has a good trainer working with him, i think there are some good welter-weight fights out there for him.

As for Khan. I'm a big Khan fan, but i do worry for him when he faces some of the big punchers in the division, and there is a decent number of them at WW.
