When Hunter says sucker punch he doesn't mean a sucker punch like a guy hit him on the break or some ****, a lot of old school coaches use sucker punch to describe punches that are wild, swinging, loaded up, basically **** that a professional should see coming and never get hit with. And he's right, Khan's got tremendous speed, reach and skill, there's no reason for him to be hit with those kind of shots that he's been stopped with or hurt with before but he does and I think it's a reflex issue perhaps. But he's been so much better since he started training with Virgil and that's cuz Roach was training him to be a KO artist and he's not built that way

Khan is absolutely a top quality boxer. His all round skills and speed, his movement, its all top notch. Its his chin that lets him down which is why his team are playing it smart and steering clear of the ****ers. Khan almost reminds me of a poor mans Tommy Hearns, in that its very difficult if not nearly impossible to beat him if he keeps it at long range. You need to close the distance and find that chin to beat him.
But if he gets the Floyd fight, it will actually be interesting to see how Floyd deals with him, but he will, and mark my words Floyd will find that chin and end it before 6-8 rounds.
Floyd isn't a light puncher. He was 37-0 with 24KO before he fought Oscar. Since then he's been a lot more conservative in his approach and his style doesnt lend itself to getting the stoppage. But just look at his fights and how they all end, with the opponent gun-shy and struggling to mount a strong offence, because they fear that stinging snap he has on the end of his punches.
I remember After Manny had that good 4th round, Floyd busted him square in the face with two big rights that shifted Manny across the ring. You could see in Mannys eyes the force surprised him and he was noticeably more timid after.

A different perspective
The only reason Khan is where he is: he is a runner and a holder, much like Mayweather. Khan has a very irritating habit of pushing his opponent's head down as they come in. Well....of course he won't be hit ever again if he keeps doing that!
Yes, he has speed, but it comes at fighting in a way that is not exciting and is more irritating than anything to watch. The only reason I watch is to see him possibly get knocked out.
