It would be better if the WBC had the purse bid earlier than October. Early August would have been better.

This fight probably won't take place until sometime in 2016.

Sadly, Wilder will avoid Povetkin and fight another voluntary on September 26.

And it won't be someone decent like Jennings or Browne, it will likely be the weakest WBC-ranked HW.

povetkin would chop wilder down after some scary moments early imo. wilder looks confused and awckward when being attacked and hes never been attacked by a body to head combination puncher like povetkin. I think all these soft touches hes fought in his career is going to come back to haunt him if and when he fights povetkin. his management is to blame. he's fought nobody that would prepare him for povetkin

              I'll take Wilder by UD.

And when it happens, all you guys will be saying Povetkin will knock Wilder the **** out will be saying "Of course he KOd Povetkin, he was a shadow of his former self, which is why Wilder fought him."
whats chagaev or huck have to do with wilder?? unlike wilder chagaev has always shown a solid chin. povetkin was out of shape and fought the worst fight of his life against an awckward huck and has improved since then. lol,,,,since when does being taller give you a better chin? povetkin has knocked out much more thickly built guys than wilder

It's easy to understand why Povetkin is favorite, but I'm still thinking the size difference could tell a different story.

Wilder won't have the reputation of a true champion until he fights this guy.

stiverne fights nothing like povetkin. hes slower,,,throws less punches and much less foot speed. the only guy he ever looked descent against was c****olla in there first fight. personally,,,I thought wilder/stiverne was a 50/50 fight. stiverne looked dreadful that night. povetkin is just much better in every department. of course wilder's power could always bail him out but I think povetkin is tough enough to get through it and chop deontay down in the mid to late rounds. too much pressure and wilder doesnt have the legs to keep him up imo

                    Gold. ^^^

It's gonna be a interesting fight no doubt, but I feel Povetkin will get the upper hand later in the rounds. If Wilder beats Povetkin, not only will 80% of his doubters stop doubting him... but he'll get a whole new fan base

BUT he beat convincingly that Stiverne who is imo better than anybody from Povetkin's defeated opponents. Including the good ones like Takam and Perez. Stiverne is about the same level as Povetkin for me just a whole different style. One of them is a natural born counter puncher (Stivrne) and the other one is a pressure fighter who is also a good combination puncher. Stiverne's style couldn't do much thing with Wilder, we will se if Povetkin's can do or not. I think it's a close fight to pick, but I still pick Wilder hence the range, his power and his omo underrated outboxing ability.
stiverne is a good counter puncher but povetkin dwarfs him in every other category. hes much quicker of hand and foot and throws alot more punches. stiverne is just too damn lazy and just waits for an opponent to make a mistake. povetkin on the other hand attacks and forces mistakes. it would be a totally different fight than stiverne and wilder hasnt fought anyone that can prepare him well for povetkin who attacks from angles with both hands to body and head
