No way in hell is GGG even expected to beat Ward at when he's moving up in weight 8lbs to 168.
No way in hell would GGG even be the favorite if he faced GGG.

And mind you, Ward's next tune up fight is at 172lbs & not 168. Just wait & watch if Ward can even make 168lbs after his next bout or not.

Can't say that I agree, Floyd hasn't really taken much damage in his career. Though granted, he's no longer the Floyd that fought Castillo. He can possibly embarrass GGG too, but we all know it ain't gonna happen.

Its not about damage its about time at this level , Floyds assets are his speed reflex timing and accuracy those assets have slipped a lot over the last 2 yrs and in boxing those are the first assets to go so he has been remarkable to last this long .
I mean its not his fault the guys he fought couldnt do anything with him and sooner or later you get old , I see Floyd has got old to the point he cant push the boundary's like a young man , I think he should finish out at WW thats his division its very hot and hope he goes out with a top WW .

I dont like seeing old greats get beat up because they are handicapped out of the fight , casual fans wont get that but I was around in Ali days I seen the hate the slurs of chicken runner etc I hated every second of the Holmes beating , I think the same will happen with Floyd where he is better appreciated long after he is gone when they see how hard it is to do what has has done .

And I dont believe the TBE BS thats just marketing hype , but I dont believe Robinson is a great as he is made out , he fought over a 100 bums I reckon Hagler Hearns Leonard would give any of them a run and so would Floyd who is very underestimated how good he is because of his defensive style .

I,ll stop as Im rambling of topic .

I really doubt Ward beats Golovkin the way you described it, to beat him you have to back him up and make him respect your power.

You have to bully the bully.
Ward also bullied Froch, a tough bastard with a durable chin who is also a natural smw and probably better on the inside than GGG. So I can see Ward bully Golovkin. Horrible style matchup for Golovkin.

Let's be real. At the moment we don't know who would win. We don't know if Ward is still the same boxer he was. We don't know how Golovkin will handle the step up in weight. We don't know how Golovkin will handle the step up in class.

The only we can really know for sure that should this fight happen now whoever wins will in no way get the credit they deserve.

Ward deserves a couple of warm-up matches just to prove to himself he still has the skills and the heart to win. He deserves the opportunity to enter the ring fully physically and mentally prepared.

Likewise, Golovkin deserves a fight at 168 to prepare himself too. He'll need to be at his best to beat Ward.

Both Golovkin and Ward deserve to be at their best for this fight. I believe Ward will win by a close unanimous decision.

Unfortunately few people here want to hear that. Few people here want to see the best boxers fight each other at their best. They want the favourite boxers given every advantage they can get and those they hate hamstrung and crippled. Honestly, I'm embarrassed for some of you.

The Andre Ward fron a couple years ago woyld have beaten GGG, but now he might not be the same fighter. We have to see after his first couple comeback bouts.

Hopkins reign at middleweight is about the same as ggg.

Hopkins just got tito and oscar

ggg hopes too get cotto and canelo

3 or 4 rounds? Uhhh what fight were you watching exactly. I gave him one round....maybe two but that is stretching it. He got outlanded in basically every round and was trading little shots where GGG was landing much bigger, cleaner punches. He did do a good job though, snapping his head back a few times and landing some nice body shots.

Of course, because Ward doesn't look to fight Golovkin in a predictable future...
