"Why do Floyd fans hate GGG so much?" Where does this logic come from?

This is something I see posted all the time now in any thread related to Triple G. What is the logic in this and where does it come from?

Firstly, there's no set of rules of who you can or can't be a fan of in the sport of boxing. It's a sport with numerous styles, weight classes, and nationalities, there's something for everyone. So if you like one guy and not another guy, there should be NO problem with this.

But for some reason, it apparently becomes a problem when "Floyd fans" don't like someone like GGG. They claim it's unwarranted hate and don't seem to comprehend the reasoning behind (some) Floyd fans not liking him. They automatically assume it's a personal thing and not something directly related to boxing. I'll gladly tell you why I don't like him, but my opinion may differ from someone else's reasoning and that's totally fine.

I don't like Triple G very much for a few simple reasons. Firstly, he has an obsessively annoying fanbase. Yes, that makes it much harder to appreciate what he does in the ring. His obsessive fans are quick to overrate him and make him out to be something he is not. I see many flaws, and fans of his shouldn't be offended just because I point them out. The fact that he stays camped out in the worst division in boxing says a lot about his level of confidence. Not only does he hide out at 160, but he is actively calling out WELTERWEIGHTS! That's just pathetic! Why doesn't he move up in weight and CHALLENGE himself like many prior greats and CHAMPIONS have done before? Why does he keep calling out Ward only to duck his head in shame when Ward acknowledges his challenge?

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that people need to stop relating everything to make it seem like it's attached to Floyd somehow. I mean think about it, one could EASILY ask, "Well, why is every Pacquiao fan so critical of guys like Rigo, Ward, Hopkins, Crawford and so on..?" But doing so wouldn't mean anything because everyone is different and it wouldn't prove anything because you can and WILL always find that one guy who is a fan of those guys.

      I like watching all styles.

When someone bashes a fighter/style I'll feel the need to defend it because they're actually degrading the sport of boxing with ignorance.

It's not always a style thing though. I've always liked Brandon Rios and he fights nothing like my preferred style of boxing at all.

GGG is the man in boxing right now. And he called Floyd boring. They can't stand that. So they will revert to attacking him like children, instead of just admitting, yea a lot of people find Floyd boring, including hardcore fans, other boxers and experts.

GGG fans themselves don't even get along, one group likes to act like he's done something whilst the other feels his resume is underwhelming WHICH IT IS. I'm a fan of GGG and I've been mistaken as a hater.

Great point. And another thing to note is that half of them don't even know what they want from him themselves. I mean, some of them want him to stay and fight Cotto at MW. Some want him to actually try to fight Floyd (LOL) and hardly any of them are calling for him to simply move up, which is his best option. It's not like he can't take easy touches at 168 either.
