"Why do Floyd fans hate GGG so much?" Where does this logic come from?

    I learned many neat African or Egyptian words/names every time Inkanyamba makes a new account.

    Inkanyamba = mythological African serpent/lake monster

    Obayifo = a vampire

    Tikoloshe = a water spirit

    and some Pharaoh names which I can't remember anymore. Very informative.

    Edit: Oh I remember now, it's Khasehkemwy.

      LMAO. GGG fans love him and want him to fight the best fighters possible. He tried to even fight Froch. And hes fighting and killing everyone they put in front of him. He has already given his fans what they want, the fans are angry with all the cowards who are ducking him. Why on earth would they blame GGG?

      He is an honourable warrior while all other MWs are cowards and pretenders, and everyone knows this.

      Telling GGG to fight Ward is dumb. They're in different divisions. Its like saying Ward isn't anything until he beats Kovalev.

        Same thing every month.

        Inkanyamba is the first on I remember, pretty much makes a new one right after he gets banned.

          I'm not sure how I feel about GGG. He's enjoyable to watch but I think seeing him do it against this caliber of opponent has grown stale on me. I think I wouldn't mind if he had already proved himself against the elite but he still hasn't so it's hard for me to get up for this recent string of bouts.

          That said, I am looking forward to watching him tomorrow. If he fails to impress, you're gonna hear more people saying he's overrated. And if he blows out Monroe that'll only increase the desire for him to test himself against the elite. Maybe he gets the Cotto-Canelo winner but if he doesn't, he needs to test himself in a higher weight. It's hard to continually justify him taking easy paydays because he's waiting on Martinez, waiting on Cotto or whomever and on and on.

              It's not the same because Ward has an established, impressive resume. GGG doesn't, therefore the onus is on him to do something about it.

                Firstly, there's no set of rules of who you can or can't be a fan of in the sport of boxing. It's a sport with numerous styles, weight classes, and nationalities, there's something for everyone. So if you like one guy and not another guy, there should be NO problem with this.

                But for some reason, it apparently becomes a problem when "Floyd fans" don't like someone like GGG. They claim it's unwarranted hate and don't seem to comprehend the reasoning behind (some) Floyd fans not liking him. They automatically assume it's a personal thing and not something directly related to boxing. I'll gladly tell you why I don't like him, but my opinion may differ from someone else's reasoning and that's totally fine.

                I don't like Triple G very much for a few simple reasons. Firstly, he has an obsessively annoying fanbase. Yes, that makes it much harder to appreciate what he does in the ring. His obsessive fans are quick to overrate him and make him out to be something he is not. I see many flaws, and fans of his shouldn't be offended just because I point them out. The fact that he stays camped out in the worst division in boxing says a lot about his level of confidence. Not only does he hide out at 160, but he is actively calling out WELTERWEIGHTS! That's just pathetic! Why doesn't he move up in weight and CHALLENGE himself like many prior greats and CHAMPIONS have done before? Why does he keep calling out Ward only to duck his head in shame when Ward acknowledges his challenge?

                Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that people need to stop relating everything to make it seem like it's attached to Floyd somehow. I mean think about it, one could EASILY ask, "Well, why is every Pacquiao fan so critical of guys like Rigo, Ward, Hopkins, Crawford and so on..?" But doing so wouldn't mean anything because everyone is different and it wouldn't prove anything because you can and WILL always find that one guy who is a fan of those guys.
                I like GGG, he is great for boxing. However I wouldnt describe myself as a GGG minion, i mean if he fought Canelo Id pull for Alvarez. Seems crazy though you dont like him because of his boxing scene fanbase. Floyds fanbase as a whole isnt considered a slur for no reason this forum

                  Nah, the onus is for him to fight best possible opponents, and thats what hes been doing. Ward is only just coming back now, and GGG tried to fight Froch, who last year was the best SMW.

                  When Floyd or Pac do similar they weight drain their opponents, do you really think if Froch is unwilling to fight GGG, the other SMWs will fight him? Hell no. Ward isn't even on the table yet.

                  Whats this impressive resume nonsense? No one sits there thinking like that. Like I said, us GGG fans, want him to fight the best possible opponents and keep KOing them. I'll never blame him for the cowardice of others, that is silly.

                  By this rationale, Ward needs to fight Kovalev ASAP. Fug the resume, no one gives a crap about Ward, no fans, and no ratings, so where the fug is his onus? Its on him to gain an audience by taking a risky fight, people find him boring, while GGG is already exciting. I think GGG has fulfilled his side of the deal long ago.

                  If anyone, Ward is the one that needs to fight Kovalev. He might get more than 10 viewers for once.

                    GGG is the new Jeff Lacy. Remember how Lacy was called "mini Tyson" lol..the guy didn't accomplish anything and the hype was ridiculous. This is GGG right now. He hasn't done a damn thing in boxing except crush tomato cans and the hype is through the roof. When he meets Ward it'll be reminiscent of Lacy-Calzaghe. He'll be exposed bad.

                      I really like Golovkin but his fans are obnoxious, claiming he'll beat everyone but coming up with endless excuses as to why he fights C-level competition. Don't be afraid to criticize your heroes, folks.
