Just score it for #48. Even when he isn't fighting.

How do you score a boxing match?

The key to scoring fights well is paying very close attention. If you are going to score you have to watch like you really are a judge, focused totally on that task (not talking to your girl, bull****ting on boxingscene, jerking off to your favorite fighter or anything else that is distracting). You also have to just focus on the action in the ring and what that says not what the announcers are saying or the crowd noises.
The problem I have though when discussing scoring is that most people don't score fights with anything like the detail needed. Then I have to listen to a horde of dudes who weren't paying attention telling me my score is off base.
Long story short, I stopped scoring fights years ago and my enjoyment for boxing went way up. I also think boxing scoring is whack and does not really reflect the action in the ring properly.

Often times, the first round is just a feeling out session for both fighters where not much action happens. In those cases, I wish more judges would give that round as a draw instead of basically guessing who threw one more jab than the other guy.

I find that after beating one off over a picture of Terry Nutkins, I always get the correct totals.
The natural mystic.
Also, some of you guys have way too many "alt" accounts.
