not a problem for 50K no ppv incentives.
it's not the MINIMUM which is the guaranteed smallest amount a fighter gets.
since floyd is his own promoter he wanted a $100 mill check.
arum is not gonna cut pac $100 mill before all the money is in.
he's gonna pay him the rest once everything is calculated and all the money is in.
This isn't a one time thing. Pacquiao's filed purse is always a ridiculously low number given his perceived status. And the excuse was something about MP Promotions and tax laws I've never heard of. Now it's Arum wants to wait until all the money is in before he gives him the other $100 ****ing million dollars. If that's how much they're getting (and it sure as hell looks like the pot for this fight is enormous) than he could've given him a much higher guarantee. Why wouldn't he?
This shouldn't be an exercise in face saving. Maybe if more people began calling Top Rank out, and also telling Manny what it really is, they might be forced to answer some questions that they have clearly been avoiding. Perhaps an answer Manny fans are too scared to hear because they continually make excuses for it and have shouted down the countless whistleblowers over the past few years.

Whats the basis of the claim, it wasn't entertaining enough to spend $100 on?

As time goes by, when people talk about different eras, this era will be the only one where 1 fighter was the only one in the conversation for the best of it. That's going to hold some weight. What fighters in history is the undisputed best of his era? There aren't but a couple.
Another thing that will help his legacy is that he beat guys like Oscar and Mosely from the beginning if this era, he beat guys like Cotto and Pacquaio from the middle, and then he beat a young guy like Canelo who could dominate the next decade. This effectively lengthens the Mayweather era.Last edited by Johnny2x2x; 05-10-2015, 09:39 AM.

Fighters like SRL, Hearns, i go off the stories of what people tell me, what i read, and what i can watch and formulate my opinion.
I am living in the moment, and Floyd will always be a woulda, shoulda, coulda fighter, and thats not something i would appreciate as a fan living through boxing with. Highest paid ever, must be on cloud 9, but that does not really have any relevance for respect.
