Floyd was also allowed to do his dirty tricks. Ref did nothing but break them up but the damage was already done! Even with the injury, A hard warning to Floyd would have changed this fight.

I oerwibally had PAC winning this fight. The judges, and the commentating (especially RJJ) was atrocious.

What Daggum Did
Some of the Floyd fans are so disrespectful about anyone doing any analysis of the fight, like it will diminish Floyd...indeed it does at times, but so what?!
Daggum did not make an arbitrary judgement. he explained his methodology...even going so far as explaining when he accepted a punch and when he did not. This is generally how intelligent people make a point, they give methods, data and create facts. Why are people threatened by this?
They are threatened by this because they realize that the scoring of this fight is dependent on how you see the fighters and making assumptions about the relative success and mistakes of each fighter. If the judges had given pac points for aggression and when he cut the ring down the score would be different. If the judges had considered rounds based on punches with the most effect, and not just the accumultion of punches, then Pac did have Floyd hit hard a few times.
The judges chose to credit Floyd with following through on his strategy. They may have done this because pac didn't catch Floyd enough.
The judges chose not to look at some things and to look at other things, we all do that! When a fight is close that is what happens. Floyd git that advantage this fight.
Regarding punch stat, there should be a mean of at least 3 button pushers for each fighter. Punch stat seems to me to have created a situation where pure accumultion of punches is considered....I don't agree with this.
This fight could have been scored any number of ways, and in many of these ways Pac would have gotten the nod. A case can be made that Floyd won the fight. it was not a robbery.
This is why these guys should have fought a while ago!!! Then each fighter could be judged by slightly different standards. For example, pac at times did not cut the ring down, nd at other times he did cut the ring down. Or....Floyd at times missed wildly with his counters and other times neutralized Pac's attack with a counter shot. In this instance if we have three judges it would not be inconceviable if the first judge saw the advantage for pac because he initiated the attack, the second judge advantage for Floyd because of the skill countering the initial punnch and the third judge, advantage to neither calling it a tit for tat.
Now why don't people stop running around the threads and proclaiming every poster who wants to look carefully at the fight as being a sore loser!! ridiculous. Floyd did nothing more than Pac did at the very least. neither guy did much of anything.....look at their faces after the fight.Last edited by billeau2; 05-06-2015, 03:14 PM.

As soon as I read you gave Pac round 3 I knew this would be a biased in favor on Pac. I watched in slo motion. Not a chance in hell he won that round.
Walking into one a jab is often more damaging that a power punch. This lead Pac to being frozen whole fight. He felt Floyd's power and didn't want to get marquez'ed again.
Also, you think compubox is innacurate, so you invent your own scoring system, instead of actually counting what lands/what doesn't? And go on to say its more acurate?!?
thank you and yes it took about 3 hours to do. My numbers aren't perfect as i have mentioned simply because the definition of a punch isn't perfect. floyd's jab numbers probably could be a little higher but I just felt that some of those lil possible jab grazes didn't constitute punches and manny's power punches and body shots could probably be higher but I watched his flurries and a lot of times he simply wasn't landing clean so he didn't get any credit.
You're a joke.
