No there is not. I literally laugh out loud at how blatant that kind of drop in odds is. We'll more than likely never see anything like it.

If Wlad and Brewster rematch......Brewster is going to need the little black bottle or else....

Plan on the fight being a mirror image of the first up untill the time Wlad ran out of gas. He'll use Brewster as a punching bag, and finish him off.

Notice how he didin't give against Peter? Peter is a more dangerous fighter than Brewster as well.

wishful thinking my friend, Wlad was the top contender in both the ibf and wbo, and who is he fighting? oh yeah he chose to fight byrd. hmmmmmm..... I wonder why???? he tasted the canvas 3 times against peter and almost bought it in the 11th round. what a masterclass that was. he was and is a mental midget, that will never change

        Sigh.

Brewster just fought Krasniqui...and planned to fight Lycahovic so what's your point?

Wlad will have the IBF and IBO belts and will eventually rematch Brewster. That's if Lamon gets past Lycahovic. LOL.

be real man, seriously, Wlad was the #1 contender in the wbo, if he wanted the fight it would have been a done deal. Brewster would be making about 2 or 3 times the money to fight wlad. im not trying to be a hater, but there has always been something mentally missing with wlad. I just don't think he has what it takes to get to the top and stay there for any length of time. i think his confidence is very shaky. when he faces a big puncher he has big problems. Lamon will destroy liakhovich saturday. if wlad didn't have manny steward against peter he would have never won that fight, excellent strategy by manny, and credit to wlad for executing the best he could, but manny can't save him everytime

            Back to square 1.

Wlad just faced a big puncher and survived...making him look amateurish in the process. He went down because of illegal punches to the back of the head...and that's clear as day.

He could theoretically fight and beat nothing but "big punchers" for the rest of his career...getting knocked down in the process...and someone will always find a problem.

The W.B.O. belt is absolutely worthless and is generally recognized as the weakest of the four major belts. Wlad has a chance to fight the guy generally regarded by expert boxing critics as the best heavyweight....Chris Byrd. He's the longest reigning title holder end of story.

Wlad did something he never has done in the past in his last fight....which is survive adversity. He was put in a big trap eating rabbit punches while Peter was stalking...and survived to put Peter on ***** street in the final round. If he would have finished Peter...I don't even think we would be having this discussion.

Sure Manny can't save him every time. But like George Foreman said....him getting up after facing that adversity is a cure. I'd only have to wait and see what the future brings. I just think he's making huge steps to being his old self.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

i see your point. the funny thing is that years back i heard all this hype about wlad and never saw him fight, i finally got my chance to see him fight for the first time and unfortunately that was against corrie sanders!! anyway, if wlad is to return to his pre-sanders form i think he MUST fight brewster again. Im a huge Peter fan and with a real trainer i think he can be the man, but he is amateurish at times. oh, the knockdown in the 11th was actually a legal shot. the other two were on the back of the head though

I am confident in a big way in Wladimir not only beating Byrd but conquering the rest of the division. I think he learned a lot about himself in that fight with Peter and will be a much better fighter because of it.

Expect Byrd to be a blowout. I respect the guy as a fighter. and a genuinely nice human being, but he can't stand up to Wladimir at his best.

The fight I look forward to the most is Wladimir-Rahman where he can shut up all the haters who thought Rahman chased Vitali out of the division.

Toney will be anti-climatic because I really can't see him winning. Byrd has a better chance than Toney to be perfectly frank.

The biggest threats on the horizon are rematches with Samuel Peter and Lamon Brewster. Both of these fights are controversial (the rabbit punches thrown by Peter responsible for two of the knockdowns/ the mysterious circumstances surrounding the Brewster fight) and I believe Wlad has it in him to even the score but it won't be easy.

he could still get rocked just right and be KO'd, but so could any HW fighter..
what's important is that he's picking up the needed skills each fight or at least learning from them.. a chin usually only gets you but so far, he'll need better bobbin n weavin and/or learn how to get ahold of the other fighter when he does get rocked, not just stand there with his arms flailing about to get rocked again

Wlad definitely needs to fight Brewster again, to clear that whole mess up. That right there is a no excuses fight and what was meant to be will be.

Points taken....and I think Peter is the man. He's got a bright future ahead of him.

You should check out Wlad's fights against Mercer, Barrett, Schulz, and Shufford if you can find them. I had them all...but formatted my drive and lost virtually everything.

Remember when the site had the badass torrent section? That was awesome....I wish we still had it.

yes wlad was the mandatory for the WBO, but Brewster fought his mandatory already and was not going to fight Wlad for an OPTIONAL DEFENSE which is what Lyakovich is, an optional defense, which mean that BREWSTER CHOSE HIM. he couldve chosen wlad and he didnt and said it was because wlad has not "earned it" Wlad would have had to wait close to a year for the WBO to enforce Brewsters mandatory defense against the #1 contender.

you can accept this or you can keep arguing this point without looking at the facts
