Saw this coming when he re-signed. Good money but no one to fight at 147

Damn what's up with Bradley and Cotto fighting two weight classes above their best?
Bradley was best at 140, IMO, and Cotto best at 147.
Bradley is shorter than Pacquiao, standing 5'6'' with shoes on. He is a little ball of muscle, yes, but part of what made him so good was his dedication to carve down with such a frame.
He never really rehydrated that heavy.
Bad move...
Maybe he just doesn't feel like dieting anymore while in training camp? I feel like that's what it is for Cotto.

He's only going to 154 because Arum has no one for him to fight that won't get him criticized badly.

Bradley needs to develop some power before I ever tune in to his fights. If you can't punch, then you are just a dancer to me. I don't condone, nor support feather fisted idols. Fck em all.. This a man's sport. I wanna know at any given moment, you just might kill a MFer in that ring.

Bad move, he should fight Brook or other top 147 and just wait on Floyd/ Manny to retire, he would be able to get a belt. 154 is too big, everyone he fought at 147 was small and he still couldn't get a stop. Cotto fight would actually be close, but with no power he will get beat up. Provodnikov made him go to the hospital, most 154 fighters (Canelo, Kirkland, etc.) will get the KO, but they will cherry pick I'm sure.
Since Tim didn't rematch Provodnikov, he should fight Maidana, it would be a good clash of styles.

I see it as Bradley fights Brook in late August/early September after a warm-up in June. After that, he'll either fight Rios (Arum) for a last fight at 147 or rematch Chaves (pride). He might vacate instead and go up to 154 to challenge Bundrage if he still has a belt or fight for vacants after Floyd drops them, then maybe Canelo or Cotto @ 158, then he'll retire.
I could see him doing a James Toney-thing and going up to 168 just for a belt and then stopping but I doubt he'd do it unless it's a big money fight against Golovkin or Chavez.
Great fighter, happy he made a name for himself in history. I personally emulate his ducking-under movements occasionally while boxing.

So if Bradley will remain at Welterweight, that means no Bundrage bout this year I take it
looking at the rest of the top 10 at Welterweight specifically Khan, Brook, Thurman and Bradley ... can't believe none of them have fought each other
it's such a disappointment

Bradley is gonna get worked at 154. To move up in weight you need to be a physical freak like tommy hearns, or paul williams, or be insanely skilled like floyd, roy, manny. Bradley is neither..
He just won't have the power to keep 154ers off of him..
With Bradley resigning with top rank awhile back, he is getting like a 2 million minimum per fight.. Bradley isn't a draw, so if your going to justify his purse, he has to be matched with another name.. I see top rank cashing him out big time over the next year or so..
