Not too long after his fight with Sergey Kovalev began, Jean Pascal says that an eardrum of his had been hurt and his eyesight had also been affected, according to an interview Pascal did recently with Mathieu Boulay of Le Journal de Montreal.

“One of my eardrums was perforated during the first three rounds,?Pascal said, via Google Translate, noting that the injury affected his balance and gave the impression that he had been shaken by Kovalev’s shots.

Yet he and others are still complaining it was a bad stoppage. You still have a career on your hands because of it. The last thing you want to suffer while facing a power puncher is to have trouble seeing punches coming. Pascal showed a lot of heart but he needs to realize it was just an ear drum and vision problem, could've ended much much worse for him.

I feel like Jean trying to attribute the ear drum and vision to him not doing well, while not giving kovalev the credit for causing that damage.

Oh yea, my ear drum popped and vision got blurry between rounds cuz I sat down wrong
