Thats hilarious considering 90% of so called boxing journalist today print and believe every lie he tells without questioning it. Some guys shill for Arum so hard you would think they are working for top rank.

He's right of course most of the best journalists are not in boxing, and the internet age means that facts dont often get properly checked...

Facts like whether a new stadium is being built in the Las Vegas area, or whether Pacquaio is afraid of needles. Those kind of facts.

Arum's wrong. Floyd played that card as a way out of the Pacquiao fight. But Arum can't state this now when things are going just groovy.

Bob forgets that it was Floyd who called out Manny years ago to fight. Yet, Pac for whatever crazy reason didn't want to submit to the very same testing he decided to do years later.

At the end of the day, you don't walk away from a Mayweather fight. Pac did and paid the price. Just look at his purse compared to what it could have been years ago IF he had just said "yes".

But who cares now. Sounds like Bob is just trying to save face in the media. Cotto knew how to make the fight when he really wanted it. Pac didn't. It's all water on under the bridge now.

Remember when all the geniuses of the sport – you know, the so-called fight freaks and the lemmings who follow – claimed it would never happen, and they were all sure that they knew why?

We know Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather Jr. don’t get along, they insisted, so the idea that they’ll ever be able to share a stage while a fight with Manny Pacquiao is being announced is simply not possible.

Less than a year ago, in fact, when reporting on Pacquiao’s contract extension with Top Rank, those clairvoyants used phrases like “killing any hopes” and “impossible to fathom” when discussing how the Filipino’s deal with the Las Vegas promoter would impact a possible mega-fight with “Money.”

Not only were they the smartest guys in the room. They had the attitudes to match.

Right up until they were wrong, that is.
