Why are you so quiet about Mayweather-Berto (that one should have 1000-1 odds). Berto is #20 BoxRec, not in the Ring top ten and not a mandatory.
Kovalev just fought Hopkins and Pascal, both top 5 light heavyweights. Mohammedi is Ring #9 and Kovalev's IBF mandatory.
The boxing politics (Haymon, HBO, Duva) prevented Kovalev-Stevenson, you KNOW Kovalev wants that fight more than any other.
Quiet? Has that fight been signed yet? Check those threads for my comments. You are just saying this to try and deflect from this thread, which is about Kov Mohammedi.
Kov had no intention of fighting his mandatory, he wanted a purse bid before he changed his mind. The boxing politics didn't prevent it, Kov/Duva running away from the purse bid did.

I am actually looking forward to this fight as my casual fan friends love knockouts and it will be fun to set around getting stewed watching a beating.
Hopefully, this showcase makes them interested in seeing him again.

I hear roughly 1,400 tickets have been sold thus far for Sergey Kovalev***39;s title defense against Nadjib Mohammedi.

Not too surprised by this. ME is trying to break Kovalev into the Vegas market w/o a big name during the middle of summer. This would've been a good fight for Stub Hub, or back to Montreal, but Mandalay Bay at 12,000 under these circumstances was dumb. If they were deadset on Vegas then they should've used the Chelsea at 3,000 seats.

I thought Kovalev resigned with HBO to make that GGG type of money, not half what HBO gives GGG.
Purses from Las Vegas per NSAC: Kovalev $750k, Mohammedi $270k. Don***39;t have Pascal-Gonzalez yet.

$750K was worth avoiding the Stevenson fight?
