At this point I'm ready to see Kovalev finish cleaning out the division then going up to Cruiserweight.

After floyd-manny and cotto-canelo, the ggg-ward-kovolev triangle becomes the biggest fights to make

Kovalev has more business to tend to at 75 for the duration of the year with Mohammedi and hopefully Stevenson if he finally mans up with the mandate now soon to be upon him. Ward isn't on a deadline, he doesn't have to adhere to a timeline, he wants the GGG fight since the Kazakh wouldn't shut up using his name for the best part of 18 months, he's just waiting for him to move up, unless of course GGG don't wana move up until Ward does!
I'd love to see Kovalev vs Ward, I'm just a realist, and pay attention to what the actual boxers are saying, you should try it.
Erm, like they never speak any bs about what's what with who they'll fight etc. Floyd made a career out of rationalizing his ducking.
I'd give GGG every chance against Ward. Kovalev would end him, and Stevenson would have a chance. Beterbiev at 175 is another one to watch, but it's early yet.
Even some of the young lads coming up at 168 would give him a go, Dirrell (it'll never happen though), Groves, DeGale.
This fellah was fading against Froch - the myth that it was totally all Ward's way has been hyped, he beat a weight drained Dawson and other than those and maybe Kessler it's been respectable fringe contenders for him. Needs to get in the ring, he's got a long way to go to cement any kind of 'legacy'.
He could start with an easy fight like Bute, then take on some of these young ones, or rematch Froch in UK, then let's see if he's keen on Kovalev, I doubt it.
*Waits for Ward V Grachev announcement, lol.

People are still talking about him because he's gonna be P4P no.1 when Floyd retires. Ward has all the attributes bar personality to become número uno.
Guys hate on him because he's a winner, just like Floyd. Ok he's had his promotional issues and now he's aligned himself with HOV he'll get the big fights he has craved as well as the pay cheques.
Ain't no rush to move up, it will happen. Too much money is vested in him not to fight the big boys coming through at 175 like Stevenson or Kovalev winner, and guys like Beterbiev.
So in Ward's world that's about 75 years from now.
