    Don't answer, it's a rhetorical question.
Why are Ward fans so desperate for GGG to move up to 168?

    LOL @ "stacked division"

You're 5 years too late. 168 was a great division, it's slowing to a standstill. Maybe some new blood will come in but the Dirrell brothers, Groves, DeGale, that's not much of a roster.

I see your point of course, the "usual suspects" are screaming for GGG to do the same thing. Naturally they pretend to act like there's a big difference.

Edit: there is a slight difference since GGG has been active. But his first fight at 168 shouldn't be Ward.
Ward won an olympic gold medal at 178, interestingly stated that 175 would be his inevitable weight before Kovalev won a belt then changed his mind. Check the interviews. He said he would like to finish his career at heavyweight as well.

Weight/size isn't the issue though. I agree Ward needs to take a warmup fight first. It wouldn't prove much for Kovalev to KO a guy who hasn't fought in years.

Kova splatters Ward and makes you weep into your Du-Rag that's why u want him to pick on a middleweight.
Dude would definitely be pulling that do-rag down over his eyes once Kovalev unleashes hell.

Yeah. Based on that, Rubio/Ward needs to happen before Kovalev/Ward.

Not a Ward fan and not desperate. I want to see Ward-Golovkin in the near future though

Wait So Roc Nation Should Put The Event Together And HBO Should Be Allowed To Show Up With Cameras And Show It For Free? OF COURSE THEY HAVE TO PAY! HBO did not want to show his fight vs a Tune Up they have every right to reject that!

If they was willing to pay Quillin and that other guy all that money, I'm sure they will put up what ever it takes for Ward and Cotto as well!

We shall see if Ward vs Froch goes up for BID, I think Roc Nation will go ALL OUT to get that fight here in the States just like Warrior Boxing/Al Haymon out bit Hearn for the Dirrell vs DeGale Fight!

Have a feeling ROC will make a huge bid too, whether it makes a loss or not I expect something huge to put them on the map. Hopefully Froch does not vacate.
