Why does Ward-stans want GGG to move up?

I wouldn't call myself a Ward fan but what is wrong with either of these things? NOTHING. GGG should move up to face Ward and AFTER (Because Ward won't be going back down once he comes up) should go up to face Kovalev.

It's terrible. What good would a Ward win do? He's already the best.
With a Ward win we get a boring clincher who fights once every two years.
How is that good for boxing?
You diminish GGG's stock when he;s way more exciting and fan friendly than Ward.

Even if he beat GGG we'd probably have to wait two more years for Kovalev.

Ward fighting anyone is terrible for boxing.

Ward fought more former and current world champions than Golovkin did. Golovkin cleaned out a division with only faded contenders and European softies. Ward cleaned out a division that had a lot of talent. Not to mention Ward is coming off a long lay off while Golovkin is fresh fighting C level competition. Given the lay off this should be a great chance for Golovkin to take. He's just scared ****less to test his power against an A class fighter just one weight class above (even coming off a lay off). Golovkin knows this is not like the faded, European, light middle weights, and C level fighters he has faced. He's 31 and time is running out for this guy. I mean even Bradley moved up to 147 against a puncher like Abregu who was undefeated because he couldn't find a challenge at 140 at the time. That's what fighters do when they have nothing going on in their weight class, they move up.

He just beat a shot to **** Martinez, and we know that the Canelo fight can't happen yet because Canelo will not admit that he's a middleweight yet or he hasn't tested the waters at middleweight. However, during the interim GGG can attempt to pick up a strap at 168 or fight a former world champ because 160 is garbage and 168 might not have lucrative fights yet but it's a good move to rack up a win against a former champ or pick up a belt.

I could care less what Ward does. I would like to see GGG move up though. There is nothing for him at MW. The talent is very limited in that division, so he is there just wasting his time there, beating up a bunch of guys that aren't going to get him anywhere.

Because this fight is better than Mayweather vs Pacquiao to me. May/Pac is more mainstream popular but from a fight perspective their both old and looking for a retirement pension.

Why don't people want to see it? They won't be in their primes much longer.

there are some good fights at 168 for ward, i dont really see any fights for golovkin at 160. plus golvkins people keep talking about how he could beat anyone at 168, if you are going to talk the talk you should walk the walk. ward and his people on the other hand have stated he needs a bit more time to grow into the 175 division, but he will move up eventually. thats fair enough.
