Because he is fighting a southpaw.

So what? If he was fighting a Japanese robot he should move his arms in a robotic manner? Floyd does his pad work for him and not for anyone else.

goes to show pac is NOT just anyone else. floyd even said so himself. not sure why the floyd fans want to keep denying this.

No idea what you are talking about and what does that have to do with what I wrote?

Just like in sparring, it is important to replicate the opponents stance in pad work. That way you can work on punch combinations, movements, slipping, bobbing and weaving that will be more effective on that particular stance.

In Floyd's case, his pad work is mainly for sharpening his reflexes rather than working on offensive and defensive maneuvers.

I guess we can watch it on TV5 for free (totally legally)

Says who? Where's the manual for this or are you the expert?

Mayweather uses the pad work to keep his reflexes sharp.. if you know this then why even argue about it? Why would he change it? It's like a butcher sharpening a knife a certain way for 20 years and suddenly change the way he sharpens the knife because he plans on cutting another animal? No, he sharpens it the way he's been sharpening for years because it works and he's mastered it. So whatever faces that knife has to also face 20 years of his mastery. He doesn't sharpen his knife by what animal he plans on cutting.

it shows that floyd is doing things out of the norm because pac is not just anyone else. no idea why u didnt get that in the first place.

Anyone else notice the way Floyd was talking about his 18 yrs at the top, almost in a 'past' tense? I thought that was odd
