Disagree there, Marquez was far slower against Pacquiao which resulted in the punishment he was taking, even the one Mayweather faced would have shown more resistance. Only thing Marquez brought that night was a different demeanor, experience in having faced Pacquiao 3 times and a meaner puncher, everything else looked considerably more diminished.

Incorrect. Floyd MADE him look like the worst version. Outclassed isn't even the word.

If Marquez was as new and improved against Manny as posters like to pretend, and at the same time so horribly handicapped against Floyd...wouldn't he be all over another payday against a feather-fisted fraud?

he was slower because he really bulked up a lot for the fight and focused more on power hence why he was hitting so much harder against pac. DUH.

in the 3rd fight against pacquiao marquez looked extremely in better shape and much more quicker than against floyd. it's almost night and day.

the weigh-ins speak for themselves which was a better version.

I just don't see Manny as the more talented guy in this fight... I just don't

Marquez loaded up on the punch shifting the weight from his back foot to the front at the precise time Pacquiao, for whatever ******ed reason, decided to move his face completely unguarded in Marquez's direction. Like a batter being able to hit a baseball further when its being pitched vs on a tee.
The key is looking at the 1st knockout in Pac-JMM 4. There was a video on here showing PAC got hit with the exact same punch in a previous fight with JMM. In the previous fight, Pac just took the shot and fought on. Obviously in the 4th fight, he got knocked down. But it was strange, it was the EXACT same shot!!!

After being knocked down, your reaction time/chin is impacted even more. Although Pac was beating down JMM in the previous rounds, the 1st knockdown had its impact and may have played a small factor in the lazy way he came in with that feint.

The saddest part about the whole situation is that some don't even want to acknowledge that Marquez had to compromise who he was as a fighter because he knew he was never going to get a decision. Yet they continuously run at the mouth, talkin' about how Marquez was bloodied and what not. Other than a different demeanor, meaner punch, the rest of Marquez' attributes were diminished, ALL should have played in favor of Pacquiao and sadly, for those who still cry about it, it didn't.

Manny wasn't working with Ariza when he fought Ledwaba, right?

slow doesn't mean worse, he was slower because he was far stronger, at some point you have to give up speed for power, if he was faster he wouldn't have been the ox he was on the night, pacquiao couldn't even put the guy on his ass without tripping him, marquez was like a tank in there, and although the weights tightened him up he was alot more explosive

what resulted in the punishment was pacquiao's new strategy, he imployed a potshotting strategy, he spammed the left lead, which never missed marquez if you've watched the series, marquez can't handle that tactic followed with the speed, same reason bradley and mayweather beat him, difference is pacquiao likes to fight too much, and made the worst mistake of all, feeding marquez the familiar fient fient, 1-2, but his aggression also allowed him to beat marquez up more than the others
