Marquez is a better boxer at 40 then he was at 34/35 ? Wanna explain that one to me?
You seem to be lacking the reading comprehension to interpret between past from present tense. When discussing a fantasy match-up between a prime Floyd and Pacquiao it obviously won't be in the present tense.
Class dismissed.

Roach May Hire Security For Secret Pacquiao-Mayweather Strategy Training
With the May 2 mega-fight approaching, you can be sure that both Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather will take training very seriously. As a matter of fact, eight-division world champion, Pacquiao, has already begun his initial stages of training camp.
You can also be sure that, while both fighters will closely follow the routines and procedures that have made them first ballot Hall of Famers, they will also be looking for that extra something to push them past their high-water mark rival.
Floyd Mayweather, for instance, will be working with former Pacquiao strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, looking to augment his already stellar conditioning as well as possibly add some extra power to his welterweight frame. It’s also a given that Mayweather will likely be probing Ariza’s mind for any possible Pacquiao weaknesses he could exploit.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach will undoubtedly be looking for an extra edge himself. In his case, however, the usually outspoken seven-time Trainer of the Year has vowed to keep his special strategies and preparations absolutely secret.
“For the first time in my life I think I’ll keep it kind of private,” Roach told GMA News Online, also indicating that he would be hiring extra security for his workouts with Pacquiao. “I don’t want Mayweather to know what we are up to."
One can only guess what may be up Roach’s sleeves when it comes to the Mayweather fight. Perhaps a new angle on punches to overcome Mayweather’s famous defense? Perhaps constant, exhausting drilling when it comes to what to expect from the always awkward Mayweather fighting style.
Whatever the case, though, Roach is confident that Pacquiao can beat Mayweather decisively— and maybe even score a late rounds knockout.
"I think Manny’s power will overwhelm him," Roach said. "He has never been against someone with the speed of Pacquiao. Seeing it is one thing, dealing with it is another thing.”
May 2 will be elite vs. elite and, just like any other elite-level sporting showdown, the difference between victory and defeat will depend greatly on the myriad of little things involved. Mayweather-Pacquiao will likely depend on who leaves camp with the better preparation and more efficient game plan. Freddie Roach, who will be under nearly as much pressure as Pacquiao, will be giving his all into the preparation for the mega-event. We shall soon see if his best is enough.
