Hm, I think I agree with this. But then again, it's probably been stated in this thread multiple times already. People will believe what they want to believe.

Well that is the thing. In the Castillo fight, Floyd fans only required Floyd to say he had an injury and it was enough to bring it up every time people discuss Floyd's poor performance against Castillo. No doctor prognosis, not much of anything else.

Now with Manny, there is a lot more information including the doctor's own words that it was a significant tear and required surgery and actually had surgery but that is not enough for the same Floyd fans.

The injury: For years Floyd and his fans brought it up to cover up Floyd's poor performance against Castillo and the controversial scoring. No real proof except for comments made by Floyd. Manny has much more than that as proof.

Home town advantage: Floyd fights all his fights in Vegas for a reason. If they fought in Manila or in Manny's home town and had 3 home town judges and ref, Floyd and his fans would be complaining before, during and after the fight as to why Floyd lost no matter what the fat lady sang!


Here is Floyd worried to fight Castillo in LA, USA for the rematch. Can you imagine a foreign country?

Your points are all out of context.

USADA knew that there was a prescription for medical reasons and contacted Manny's physician and so they investigated as much as required to approve the medication. It was also reported that they knew why but didn't have records (MRI, as an example).
Commissions knew about the shoulder injury BEFORE the fight. You even said it here "Aguilar says the commission first became aware of the injury about 90 minutes before the fight". You also quoted that they spoke to Manny's physician. About what? Manny's leg, feet,....? No, the discussion was about the shoulder injury!!!

Also, what is your point by this? Manny wanted a pain killer to alleviate the pain. You know, just like Floyd admitted to doing on numerous times for his hands. Had nothing to do with what you quoted here ... "his health and safety would not be at risk if he fought without the injection."


The point is that this information was there BEFORE the fight. Floyd fans are saying that it only came up AFTER the fight.

and of course, you do not bring up what the doctor stated. That there was indeed a substantial tear that required surgery.

Travis Tygart, the CEO of USADA, told the New York Daily News that Pacquiao’s camp let the boxer down failing to disclose his shoulder injury. While his organization approved the medications, he says USADA was never advised that Pacquiao was using them to treat a shoulder injury. "We had no medical information, no MRIs, no documents," said Travis Tygart, who heads USADA.
