And unlike others, I was not the least bit surprised when Pacquiao didn't press the issue late, when he had to know he was behind. I've been saying for at least a year and a half that Pac would be content to follow Mayweather around getting pot-shotted.
It's the smiles, constant smiles, even after getting fouled he would smile. It's like, all that trash talking, commercials and this is what he brings. I'm no Pacquiao fan at all but that was disappointing.

You know what I've noticed about this whole ordeal, people are comparing the performances of prime greats to a 38 year old Mayweather, it's almost as though they don't realize that they're doing it. Some of those greats at 38 were done-zo.
Whitaker was done in his early 30s. The long amateur career and the ******* habit did him in. After the 2nd Buddy McGirt fight he clearly lost a step.

As far as Mayweather/Whitaker goes, its a wash to me. They are both top 20 since WW2 at least.

The vast majority of the greats were done well before 38.

The fact he's still P4P #1 and undefeated at age 38 and 20 years as a pro when his first world title fight was in 1998 and 5 weight classes ago is amazing in itself and something I doubt will ever be replicated.

And like you said, the fact people are comparing prime ATG's to a version of Mayweather that's way way passed his prime tells another story. Mayweather's so good people act like he doesn't age.

Apparently Mayweather admits to having a spy/mole in Pacquaios camp, and goes on to say he knew about every day Pacquaio did and didn't spar, how much he trained, how many rounds he did, when he had to send sparring partners home and everything else.

And props to him, Mayweather wasn't playing.

Roach and Arum were giving information like they knew what was going on in FMJ's camp. That type of stuff is just par for the course.

                    What else were they saying?

I mean that's as commendable a move as it can get, other than well done what else can be said? Sometimes I don't understand what people look for.
