Official Floyd Mayweather- Manny Pacquiao Postfight aftermath discussion

Man I hope team Pacquiao watches out and is ready for Floyd's body shots.

Pacquiao has been vulnerable to the body and Floyd in his prime was one of the most devastating, sneakiest body punchers I have ever seen.

The fact that he said he's going back to basics makes me worry even more about the body punching, especially the fact that Pacquiao is a southpaw, meaning his liver is facing Mayweather.

I hope floyd throws more body shots.

To be honest I haven't really been watching Floyd's latest fights. I'm going to rewatch them starting from the latest and i'll come back to the thread.

I'm watching the maidana mayweather rematch right now and already Floyd is pumping that jab to the body. I counted at least 5 spearing jabs to the stomach in the first minute alone.

It doesn't look like much but those jabs to the stomach are extremely painful and can take all the air out of your lungs if you're not ready.

I'm at round 4. Mayweather never stops working the body with the jab and he's trying to set him up with an uppercut or left hook to the body. He threw a few in the 3rd round but nothing landed.

At about a minute in the 4th(around the 45 seconds mark) he shoots a monster right uppercut to the body that stuns Maidana and takes the steam out of his punches and activity for the rest of the round which allowed him to land another right uppercut and hook to the body at the end of the round.

Floyd is still a devastating body puncher.

He does very consistent work to the body. Which opens up shots upstairs. The jab to stomach sets up a lot.

IDK man maybe we have different standards for "devasting body puncher" cause floyd work the body against maidana in a stay busy fashion not a devasting fashion. None of the body punchers floyd threw had that uMMPH on it , it was just to land.

theirs a reason why a pillow visted khan drop maidana with a body shot cause he threw it with that uMMPH where as mayweather hit maidana a million more times with body shot but never came close to that type of body shot.

Mayweather body shots now are not meant for damage but are just to keep you at bay and out his space.

A part of me feels this will be like Maidana Broner all over again. Pac will expose floyd and embarrass him in front of the world.

Knowing Broner's shoulder roll didnt work for maidana. Now Mosely and roach saying the shoulder roll doesnt work for southpaws knowing it's always open for a left straight which is Pac's signature move. If Floyd uses this often in the fight Pac will just zero in on him and knock him out with a left. BOOM! It's over.

Watching Sportscenter this morning. Caught the piece about the odds via the "Las Vegas Superbook" at Westgate casino.

The overwhelming majority of bets are coming in on Manny Pacquiao.

But more money has been bet on Mayweather.
