I know they're cool again now but doesn't seem like "very close" to me considering how he slated him recently.

For the last 2 years all he has talked about is how he's done after the contract is finsihed, how he has no interest in Marciano's record and how he doesn't enjoy Boxing at all.

He's been saying it more than ever in the build and after the fight.

So him just completely changing his mind all of a sudden just doesn't seem likely

I don't want him to fight next year. I'm hoping it's September farewell fight then retirement.

Mayweather's just playing along IMO. Top Rank wants a rematch (where they have ZERO negotiating power) about as much as Manny wants to get KO'ed again.

They can never reach terms on rematches for big fights. Oscar/Tito, Floyd/Oscar never could agree.

You still have the issues with promoters, networks, purse split, gloves, etc.
