Any good boxing on today -- Pac by decision

So guys, any boxing on today?

The hype for this fight is amazing! Err, I mean ****** casuals, defying the sanctity of our cult.

I just officially voted Pacquiao by decision. Probably a decision that will be closer than it should be, but hopefully not a robbery either way. I'm going with my heart on this one. In my best announcer voice: "Floyd tried to stay up on his toes and go backward without getting caught on the ropes, but he just couldn't keep Manny off of him! What was Floyd thinking by trying to load up on that right? 8-4 Manny Pacquiao!"

Though I am prepared for Manny not being able to catch up to Floyd in the last half of the fight, or for a gross, faith shattering, robbery. This is boxing after all.

I know guys be clowning on Maidana but he is no joke in the ring. He's been giving out nothing but azz-whippings since he loss to both Khan and Alexander.

He gave out plenty of azz-whippings before those Ls as well-- Heck he gave out an azz whipping DURING one of those Ls. That's why Garcia was smart to not try and 'fix' Chino, but to try to give him some new tools, to polish him up, and to give him good advice.

I think Floyd has to try to handle this fight a lot like the second Chino fight (despite Chino and Manny not being much alike, other than by being aggressive fighters). The problems facing Floyd are:
1) This isn't the 13th round, where Floyd has had 12 rounds, and plenty of tape, to study.
2) Manny really isn't Chino and has a lot more to work with than awkward aggression.

My prediction... pacquiao by decision...116-113 with 1 knockdown in round 4..
This knockdown will be a significant left cross that will hurt Floyd.

Floyd will come back in a few of the middle rounds but will lose steam towards the end of the fight as he's forced to up his workrate throughout the fight.

Instead of the 25-30 punches he usually throws per round, he's forced to throw 50-60+ in attempt to come back from the knockdown which will cause some fatigue. He won't be able to move and dance in the championship rounds... And Pac will take rounds 11-12 to win the fight clearly.

*edit: 115-112 would be the correct score. There might be a 114-113 score too in there.

Some of these guys at the fights crack me up. They actually think in their head they are the ones doing the fighting when all they are doing is cheering.
