Hey, Floyd was a bad ass back then. Pretty Boy Floyd was a beast and is the reason he is where he is today. So yeah, Floyd 12-years ago took a risk, or two. This entitled little prick who now who almost **** his pants when he saw Maidanas gloves and literally was crying to Robert Garcia, whining and moaning is a ****ing joke.

        I don't follow.

Maidana was a world champion when he fought Floyd.

Ralph Tiger Jones was a literal journeyman.

        And he dominated Robinson.

Oh, so he has taken risks in his career? Of course he has. ALL fighters do. It's part of the sport.

It was a paper title, you're a fool if you think his belt meant something.

You said Maidana could have arguably got a draw, so why doesn't the rematch qualify as a risk?

I laugh at the bold, as though it's a cool thing to say. Mayweather has the same fighter's mentality and it keeps showing.

Irondan I think its pointless. You started watching boxing when winning a tougher than expected fight against someone you were expected to beat easily was something a fighter gets credit for. It was about winning and overcoming the unexpected.

In the social media era, if you win a tougher than expected fight it is interpreted as you not being as good as your fans or the media suggest you are. Its about meeting expectations.

                  Proves he's not a journeyman.

                  Unlike Ralph Tiger Jones.

Basically my point is saying "Floyd arguably drew with a journeyman in Maidana" is a moot point. Meaningless.

One thing I will tell you. Is that Floyd gets penalized for close fights against top contenders like Castillo and Maidana. While ATGs get passes for losses against bums.

Back then Corely was a good, tough fighter. He had just lost to Zab Judah who had been KOd by Tszyu not long before. He was also a southpaw with good power and Floyd's first fight at 140 pounds. A fight where Corely tested and hurt Floyd pretty good. Corley went on a span of fighting Zab, Floyd, and a young Cotto. He lost those fights but has his moments in all of them. Hell, I still think they stopped the Cotto fight much too early. He hurt Cotto bad in that fight.

But anyways, Looking at Corely NOW or what became of his career, it's easy to bash the win. But in context, it was a good win. Not great, or fantastic, but good.
