Comments Thread For: Hatton: Mayweather, Pacquiao Both To Blame if No Fight

Former champion and now full-time promoter, Ricky Hatton, is hoping Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao are able to reach an agreement on a May 2nd showdown at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Their respective teams, and networks HBO and Showtime, continue to negotiate.

Hatton faced both fighters during his career. Mayweather stopped him in the tenth round of their 2007 clash. The following year, Pacquiao devastated him with a brutal second round knockout.

It's obvious Pac wants it. Floyd said so himself. Showtime and HBO want it.

Its down to Floyd, Haymon and Arum now.

Hatton knows the real manny-the one that almost stopped their fight from happening at the last minute over money. He also knows that floyd has an incredible ego and can be just as petty during negotiations.

It's clear to me that only Arum can stop this fight. It's obvious with his Floyd bashing in the media, while May and Pac are trying to come up with a way to make it.

Love Ricky being a fight fan first. "I bought my flight just in case." Classic.

there have been rumbling that even his TR staff has told him to shut it lol..but i never thought of it that way..now that i think about it with HBO doing bad ppv nubmers with pac..if he stops this fight they might kick him off hbo and bring haymon's flock back now that he's making the fights..who knows..i think haymon is going to drop some news very soon that he signs rigo..
